Not Dead!

Go figure, huh!?

I know, I know, I said I wouldn't, but fell off the grid, and I'm aware that I haven't even responded to messages on here in a couple of years.

There have been a number of contributing factors, namely the loss of Bronycon (and the whole covid thing, the two of which together more or less ended my in-person pony social life), the termination of some online social relationships (honestly I'm not very good at making friends), attention to my work in original fiction, an inward focus on my home/family life, closing the public link to my Discord group, and the general desire for a fandom break. In keeping with my need to dabble in many genre at once, I've kept busy by churning out a lot of horror short stories for various print anthologies, plus shopping two manuscripts at once; one adult dark fantasy, and the other middle grade adventure, of all things. There has been success on some fronts, but it has been relatively minor overall.

I just wanted to pop on and let anybody who may be interested know that I do persist in my existence. As for writing more pony fic, I don't know where I am in my headspace about that. I have limited interest in G5--not because I have anything against it, but I only saw the movie once and haven't really had a strong desire to dig up more, which suggests to me that it might not ultimately have the same effect for me that G4 did. At this point I can't even remember the names of any of the characters aside from Sunny Starscout, and only vaguely recall the plot of the film. I guess I'll have to see how/if that develops anywhere.

Anyway, still around, all that. I'll see about at least checking my messages more on here now so if anybody has anything to chatter about, feel free. As always, I'm still grateful for any enjoyment anyone derives from my stories!
