Goodnight, Bronycon... · 8:25am Aug 5th, 2019
...
I'm sorry, but by the quiet glow of a city soon to wake at 4am, I don't have it in me to say much more. The hardest part is not going back to life. It's going back to a world where none of this is really understood.
I have suffered entirely too much loss in too short a time. The dog, my father, and now this. There are those who would support me, but I am never the type to call. It's good, at least, to know they're there.
Oh, BronyCon. Rest now, and goodnight.
There are always be your fans here. There may not be an official con any more, but a fandom like this doesn't just disappear...
Just gives you a reason to come out to babscon and EFNW

I have sooooo many cons in my potential list for next year now. Everybody keeps recommending a different one!

No, no it doesn't. Something like this indeed doesn't just go away, and its life or death is not a matter of one event based upon it, no matter what how prominent that event may be. But there have been too many endings for me lately, of people and things. A lot of straws for my back.
Wishy, somehiw I missed you the whole con! I feel so bad now...

Aw Rob, I saw you in a hallway once but it was really crowded and I couldn't get near. Also I was so involved with running RPGs this year that I didn't spend much time in quills. Couple that with my usual anxiety about being the one to reach out, and...yeah, heh. It's alright. You've gotta see what Andy doodled for me sometime though - if anybody can appreciate it, it would be you.
I'll keep saying this as I catch up on blogs
We've lowered our curtain, yes, but the spirit of BC is in the people, not the place. Go to other cons. Convince your friends to go. Our fandom lives as long as the light of friendship keeps burning in our hearts, regardless of whether or not Hasbro is still making the show, or BC is still running. Keep that in mind, treasure it, and go out and make magic together!

Oh of course, I know that. I have no intention of basing my interest in a fandom upon a single event. It's less that, and more that BC ending is just another end in a long line of ends of people, events, and things that have plagued me in rapid succession over the past few weeks. They're a lot to take all at once, and it has been stresssful.
Thank you though, dear
