After seeing the news, I will admit I was a bit worried. Thank you for the update, I feel much better now :ajsleepy:

Eh, Iron Horse is finished so my concern is minimal.

Joking of course. Continue staying safe!

Thank god your alright

Good to know; thanks. :)

Glad to give you a laugh.

Shoo Beep Doo?

According to the map, it's beating up Victoria now, and expected to wander out to sea briefly, then veer inland again to pass through Houston. Maybe you can get pictures?

Glad you're okay, Hatsie. I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of worried about you, being right there in the path.

Of course, I'm a fairly on-edge guy on a good day, so take that as you will.

Possibly. I'm keeping an eye on things, but right now it's just really damp out there.

Trust me, the folks back home keep asking me for updates as well, so you're in good company.

Well, glad it's not just me! :twilightsheepish:

Good news for Houston: Harvey's projected path has shifted east, and is now expected to hit Beaumont.
Sorry about that, Beaumont...
Update: Harvey's projected path is continuing to shift eastward as of Monday night.
Now I'm starting to wonder if Louisiana is in for another unwanted visitor.

Ha! Well, the good news is that I'm still fine and got through the storm pretty well. Still a lot of water around, but it actually looks like the worst stuff is over. And hey, I don't even have to return to work until Tuesday, so I think I made out pretty well. :yay:

Just some morbid curiosity here: How high did the water get at your place?
Some areas shown by news media look to be flooded with raw sewage. That's not going to clean up quick...

At my place? Not that high. But the road nearby my place still has standing water on the sides. A tree toppled over near my apartment complex too, but nothing too severe. I got off lucky, but a lot of folks here in H-town weren't so fortunate.

Glad to hear things aren't quite the apocalypse the newscasts were painting.
All I'm dealing with here up north is approx. 200 micro-grams of wood smoke per cubic meter of air. That's what the website said, anyway. Visibility is about a quarter mile, and the whole world smells like a camp fire. Compared to Houston, we're having a good day!

Ah jeez, that doesn't sound fun. Well, hope things clear up for you soon.

But still, I should emphasize that I'm okay, but plenty of areas around Houston are in terrible shape.
