Twilight floated a second fritter up to her mouth when she realized the first was gone. “What is in these things?” “Mostly love. Love ‘n about three sticks of butter.”

Blast from the Past: Now 100% Less Likely to Get Me In Trouble

Hey, some of you guys remember that thing I did a long time ago, where I wrote up 50 questions about headcanon and suggested people answer them on their blogs, and then, like, everyone on the site wanted to do it, and then the site mods sent me nice but stern messages suggesting I cut that shit out because it was spamming people's feeds?

Wanderer D posted a touching retrospective of his time in fandom, and that made me remember the very first I ever heard of the show.

Royal Canterlot Library Interview for Lost Time · 4:03am May 21st, 2017

Some of you may have heard, the Royal Canterlot Library held a contest recently. Normally, the RCL selects one of an author's stories to interview the about and features that story and interview on both the RCL blog and a sitewide post. But for various reasons, sometimes the story the RCL selects isn't the story most people would consider that writer's best or most representative work. The Correct the Record contest allowed readers to vote for the story they thought should have been featured for an author who already had their chance.

The winner of the contest was Austraeoh, by Imploding Colon (aka shortskirtsandexplosions,) but he declined the chance to be featured again. So the feature went to the story with the second most votes: my own Lost Time. My original feature was for Of Cottages and Cloud Houses, one of my Slice of Life fics, and as Catalysts Cradle pointed out in the nomination I'm kind of more known for romance.

My new interview for Lost Time was posted on the RCL blog today, and will be posted on FiMfiction next week. This week a post featuring the runners up was posted on FiMfic, with Aragon's Evil is Easy, Governing is Harder and HoofBitingActionOverload's Spring is Dumb. So check that out too.

Also, I'd like to thank Catalysts Cradle and all of the people who voted for it. I'm thrilled that I wrote something so many people are passionate about. I'd like to do it again.

Fantastic interview. I'm glad it went so well!

Also, I squeed when I saw “I’m Still Here” – John Rzeznik (The climax)." Seriously, sometimes I think I'm the only one who loves Treasure Planet and its music. Add that to one of the best Phil Collins songs out there? That's a whole lot of yes. :pinkiehappy:

Congrats!

I have very fond memories of Lost Time. It's one of those things that I would really like to read again, but, well, I have a hard enough time reading new things as it is, so my chances of a reread are even lower than my chances of reading any given new thing. But.

Very fond memories...

A well deserved award. Lost Time is one of my favorite stories on the site, and the first story that came to mind when the Correct the Record contest was announced. I'm glad I could play a part in getting the story featured.

I think you definetly deseeved this. Lost Time it's a magnificent work, and I think is one if not your best work. I personally have read it 4 times, and have a special relationship with it, lost time inspired me to start my own appledash family story, which meant my first english stories that I actually wrote (even though I haven't published them), for which in moment of doubt, I went to read your story for motivation. Creating my characters Indecided to commision art of them, and after that, start drawing them (they were thefirst charachters i draw) and that with other motivations pushed me to start consideri g drawing not just a hobby but a (future) life profession.
So, it would be exagerating to say that Lost Time "changed my life" but it DID was a HUGE positive influence, something I still look for as a model of what I want to create as an artist. You are the best Bookplayer.

Also wrote from my shitty cellphone, sorry for the typos : P

Congratulations! I look forward to reading the interview when it comes to the site. Lost time was a fantastic story, and though I don't think I commented on it at the time, it sits on my highest bookshelf.

:raritycry:This story made me depressed for three days. :raritydespair:

Great job! :pinkiehappy:

You might've (jokingly) said Lost Time slipped in through RCL's back door. I prefer to think that it busted down one of the walls, since there was just no keeping it out
