Hello my dedicated readers and writers, and friends alike! Today, or whenever you read this, is going to probably shake your very being! First off I want to apologize in advance for what this blog post is about. I can see and hear your 'boos' and see the dislikes countinung already, but bear with me please. Student of Friendship is going to be redone. What does this mean?
Why it'e elementary my dear friends.
I'm literally going to redo certain parts of the story. I had this idea for going full adventure into it, but i decided after a long while that it wasn't quiet what I had in mind. So, what am I going to do? To answer that I need to make it very clear I deviated from what I intended this story to be. I got ahead of myself and realized too late what i did to myself. As a novice writer I know everyone expects a certain level of skill and foresight from me after almost three to four years of being on this site, but I'm only human and I make mistakes. This one I've decided to just completely scrub what I started.
So to put it down for you my friends I'm taking out the war arch and pushing it to I minor thing that will be dealt with off screen, of sorts. So Starlight will only be doing her slice of life stuff, but sorry folks no big adventure. I know, I know. I can see the dislikes coming already, but I'm sorry it just is what it is and I don't want to write this as an adventure story anymore. So I WILL change it to reflect that, and will post a followup soon about what chapters will be removed and/or rewritten to accommodate these removed chapters.
I know it's not ideal for me to do this to you guys and gals after building up to this so much, and I apologize for it again. I hope this huge oversight won't dissuade many of you from continuing to support my stories cause I work very hard on them in my spare time cause I like to, but I also love the comments and what little feedback I do get to improve and keep me going. So, until then I'll see you all in the next chapter!

so no yay or neigh, I'm guessing lining it up with later episodes is another reason for it. Any thoughts on extending it to the later stuff, will she end up with BFF Maud slippers?

4518329 The Starlight haters will, unfortunately, always be vocal.
But will you keep the original version uploaded? If you rewrite any chapters, you could add them as new chapters to the fic and mark the old ones as alternate chapters.
I would prefer this, because, even though I sadly couldn't read it yet, I'm sure what you've written so far is already very developed and the ideas you want to take out now form a very good story still already and I'm really interested in both versions; the current one and the new one you want to write now.
Could you do it this way?
4518413 I only plan on taking out the last like... 4 5 chapters or so. Like you said, it's a long story already. I don't want to rewrite the whole thing. So the original will remain as is. I might just edit it again to see if I can find any more grammar errors along the way.

Can you give an explicit deadline when you will start removing the chapters in the blog entry you are going to write and also name the chapters that will go? I want to save them before they are gone.
4518617 Right now a date is up in the air, but I WILL let everyone know before I do that in a following blog as I stated before hand.
. If I could hazard a guess by the end of the week at the earliest possibly. Also, everything up to Council Meeting is what I'm keeping. Canterlot Boutique and so on will be removed form the story and then a new chapter will replace them.
Just so you know which ones are going. I literally decided right now.
