That's it. I've had it. I'm done. · 1:57am Mar 8th, 2017

Back when season two of The Flash ended in the most bullshit way possible, I was so angry at the writers, I almost didn't come back for season three.

Season three has been a terribly mixed bag, but up until now, it's kept me just barely interested.

Tonight's episode was full of SO MUCH FAIL that I'm done.

That's it.

I don't care anymore.

I'm dropping The Flash.

That's...
Well, I'm glad I never tried to watch the series, then.

I never wanted to watch the series in the first place because it's DC and DC tends to do a bunch of stupid shit with literally every single one of there hero's(except for batman for some reason) and I'm glad that I didn't watch it

4447477 It was great for a while. Then the writers got stupid. Then they pulled Flashpoint. Then season 3 wibbled and wobbled between good and bad. Now they did the same stupid thing they did at the end of season 2 all over again except with Wally this time. It's...it's just gah.

Supergirl is still good though.

4447482 Makes sense. Mostly because it's DC.

Better....I don't watch Flash at all. I avoid stress.

You could say your interest went in a Flash.:rainbowlaugh:

4447477 The only thing I like about DC is that their event comics are about HEROES FIGHTING VILLAINS not HEROES VS HEROES

4447539 yeah, but not everythings black and white. There aren't always "good guys" and "bad guys"

My moment was when they had that woman with the silver-age Bee puns.

Well, that doesn't sound promising. And here I was hoping it would get better.

I personally liked the season 2 finale because it could allow lots of possibilities. Unfortunately I have to wait on netflix or Hulu to watch it but no matter what it's likely still better than supergirl and the constant cringe worthy dialogue

4447593 OK look. Supergirl is over-the-top, excessively feminist, and has that annoying subplot of Alex and her gay lover that ABSOLUTELY NOBODY WANTS TO SEE BUT IT KEEPS BEING THERE ANYWAY, but other than that, Supergirl is an amazing love letter to everything that used to make the comics great AND the legacy of live-action Superman pre-MoS.

The Flash is just bad writing on top of bad writing with every episode following the same basic formula:
- Someone kept a secret from the rest of the team.
- The secret comes out.
- Everyone turns against that person.
- Everyone starts fighting with each other.
- Someone gets angsty--usually Barry, Iris, or Caitlin.
- Everyone gets back together in time to fight the villain of the week.
- Everyone reiterates how important trust is to the team and how they need to stop hiding stuff from each other.
- And then they do it all over again next week.

And also, at least once a season, Barry stands by like a dumbass while the Seasonal Big Bad KILLS someone important to him and then he cries about it for five straight episodes when he could've stopped it at any time.

4447482 Well, I figured Flashpoint would happen. The scene where Barry motions his earlier self not to interfere hadn't happened, so I knew as long as that event didn't occur, they weren't done with that moment in time. And honestly, they were setting up Flashpoint for two seasons. It's no surprise it happened. I'm just surprised it was reset in just two episodes. I was actually hoping for several more episodes at least of Flash discovering why he had to put things back.

"ABSOLUTELY NOBODY WANTS TO SEE BUT IT KEEPS BEING THERE ANYWAY," -- Oh, you are so wrong there! I've seen many people raving over Alex and her lover. Check the A.V. Club comment section for each weekly review, for example.

4447721 Eh, OK, maybe I misspoke there. I just find their subplot to be INCREDIBLY boring. Not because "zomg lesbians out of nowhere" but because they are so incredibly repetitive and dull as a couple I can't stay awake through their scenes together. There's no chemistry, there's nothing interesting to me about them as a couple. I just can't get interested in that ship, and yet there it is, every episode.

4447545 In comic books, uh, yes it is

This kinda reminds me of a recurring thing I saw during Pokemon Black and White. Whenever any pokemon used Dig, the opponent would proceed to stop where they are, and look around like a jackass like "Which way did they go, which way did they go?" until the pokemon inevitably strikes from underneath. Like, which way do you think they're coming from, dumbass?

...I've never watched Flash, so I have nothing to add to that. Sorry a show you were following didn't meet your expectations. Sucks when that happens.

I've been kinda feeling like this for the DC shows in general. It just seems like the writers are incapable of making a story work without having the characters be total idiots. Especially bad is any scene where a hero has a bad guy dead to rights and then lets them go for dumb reasons. Two major examples being Jackson in Legends having EVIL!Rip, who was getting away with part of an extremely dangerous artifact, at gunpoint and then letting him go, despite the fact that they have a medical suit on their ship capable of bringing someone back from anything short of brain death, meaning he could have just kneecapped Rip, dragged him back to the ship and NOT lost the part of the spear, all with minimum chance of actually killing him...

And then two episodes back on Supergirl, they did the same exact thing with Alex and her traitor dad...only this was even STUPIDER because her weapon was an energy pistol that apparently has a STUN setting...

4447836 Yeah, they should NOT have written in the "stun setting" an episode after that whole drama. And WHY THE HELL DIDN'T SHE JUST LEG HIM? Even if it didn't have a stun setting, shooting him in the foot woulda worked!

You mean people actually watch CW? The only DC shows I watch are Gotham and Powerless. Powerless is a comedy so of course it can be stupid. Gotham is... interesting but I enjoy it and the actors are actually very good in their roles.

Yeah... There went my favorite DC-series... Season 1 was probably the only good one.

I definitely get you there. I'm starting to think I should only watch Flash for the Grodd episodes. That or when they use Mark Hamill.
