4386967 Both Machi (above) and the Youkai Armsman/Helmsman/Reuknight are based on the Irish legendary Unseelie Dullahan. (I think the Youkai are based on Dullahan anyway. I'm not 100% sure on equivalent myths from Japanese folklore, you'd have to ask Zef on that one.)
