I must confess, I am quite pleasantly surprised by the amount of love people showed Dear Small Pony Book since its posting a few days ago. After my first Thorax fic, The Face I'll Wear, got by with some humble, but respectable and much appreciated, viewership and ratings, I fully expected that this would be something that flew under the radar while I fiddled and goofed off with everyone's favorite changeling king omg spoilerz and Royal Family.
With that said, I'll try to maintain a decent pace in updating. Expect things to be a bit goofy, since poor Thorax is at a loss with the strange way these ponies live their lives. I mean, can you blame the guy? They don't even sleep in proper cocoons! They sleep in these weird little beds and then wrap themselves in blankets, which just end up looking like cocoons in the morning anyway! He doesn't want to judge, but this seems like a terrible oversight!
In any case, thanks for reading, everyone! I'll get to work on the next chapter just as soon as I take care of a couple other projects.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go explain to Thorax that I didn't spit cocoon slime when I sneezed a little whle ago, and that, yes, I'm quite certain I'm not actually a changeling.
I might need a few diagrams...

I think that, despite the mixed opinions of the Changeling makeover in the finale, the episode itself did a lot to get people interested in Thorax and his misadventures in the Crystal Empire. I know it did for me, I fully expected Thorax to be a one episode throwaway character, not someone who'd return in a finale and completely steal the show with the other side characters.
Plus, you write fun Changelings. Really fun ones.
How certain is that?
