Hey folks.
First of all, I've finished work on the the first chapter of Trixie's Threeway Trouble! 
(Disclaimer: Not a clop story, no matter how that title sounds.
)
Hopefully, it will be equally as entertaining for veterans as it is for any potential new readers just joining us. There was a bunch of stuff that I thought I was going to say about this, but really I've said everything I wanted to already before so I suppose I'd just be repeating myself.
Here's something long overdue, though:
I feel it's probably high time I placed some credit on my long-suffering editor and friend Phaoray who's contributions and suggestions have helped me more than I can say over the... years? Gosh, it has been years. 
In any case, if it wasn't for this detail obsessive curmudgeon the quality of the writing would be a lot lower, so thanks, Pharoah. 
It's also worth mentioning he writes his own Trixie stories and if any of you have not checked those out yet you're doing yourself a disservice. I'd recommend one, but you can literally not click on a story of his that doesn't have my highest recommendation.

Secondly, Trixie's Forest Retreat has recieved a wonderful makeover in the art department Thanks to the hard work of Hakuno.
A great fellow who aside from producing art, he also happens to an excellent fellow Trixie writer who I edit for and I heartily recommend The Shimmer of Magic to all of you who are looking to get your Trix-Fix more often and haven't discovered it yet. 
If you are one of those weird octopus people who can navigate Tumblr, and frankly I refuse to believe it was a site designed for human beings, than you might want to check out Ask Princess Twilight Sparkle, because Hakuno apparently enjoys demonstrating he can be four times as productive as the rest of us and keep up both a regular fanfic story and a comic. 
Looking forward to the new fic. That name might be a bit confusing though.

Love the new art for Trixie's Forest Retreat. Trixie looks like she's looking at pre-reformation Discord, Tirek, Sombra and the Sirens on one side, herself and her ego on the other and then thinking to herself "yeah, I got this." In other words, entirely in character.
4297274 After uploading a few stories (two, I believe?), you can have your next fanfictions auto-approved and submitted within the hour or choose to go through the normal process. It's been like that for a few months.
As for the pending approval, my latest fanfiction took much longer than usual; a few days instead of less than twenty four hours.

You're right. Actually, part of the motivation for quickly writing a short story was to see if I'd been approved. Evidently, I had been. ^^ (Also turns out that said quick story became more popular than the big sequel.

I guess we had the same experience with pending approval then. Glad to hear it's normal. Also glad to know I won't have to worry about it anymore since autopublish.

Well, as you said, it's a sequel. To a ridiculously huge story. And it's mature, which means not everyone will see it, and it's not porn, so the near totality of those who do browse mature stories won't care because porn is like the number one reason people check mature fanfictions in the first place.
So yeah, I don't find it surprising.
Why is it mature anyway? If it's only because of profanities, I've seen many oneshots with swear words that were rated T... though of course I remember only those after the auto-approval existed. Might want to ask a mod about profanities and rating if that's the only reason you made it mature.

I have an explanation in the author notes of the last chapter.
In short, the line between mature and teen is not defined so I thought it would be less trouble to just rate it mature and not worry about it even if it probably is teen. (I swapped the swearing for more pony friendly ones.)

Yeah, I get you. I scrapped Tales' next chapter because it straddled the line between naughty and ohgodwhytherearechildrenreadingforcryingoutloudwhat'swrongwithyou. And I immediately checked the swearing you mention because I saw it in the comments, and was glad you went for 'screw' instead of filthy brony slang.
But I don't need to tell you that, do I?
Of course, there's also apparently Pinkie Pie in the first chapter and that's just the start, so I'll probably not read it.
Unless there's a chapter where Rarity teaches Rainbow Dash how to do a proper hornjob, naturally. That I'll read.
Oh, and tell Hakuno they made a mistake in their picture: Rainbow Dash's eyes are not locked on Trixie's rump.

That's an optical illusion. Trixie's rump is so great that light bends around it.
