I haven't been much of a sports fan since I hit my teen years, but doesn't mean I don't sit up and take notice when one a movie seemingly makes a one-off joke only to have it turn into a near accurate prediction years later. Whether you're a sports fan or not, when you notice things from one of the scifi films you watched when you were younger come into being a very real thing you just can't brush it off, even if it is seemingly something as innocuous as a sports prediction.

There may one day come a moment where we see things remarkably similar to what we saw in movies like Meet the Robinsons, Star Wars or Star Trek out here in our everyday lives.
