The only other thing relevant to this blog is that I've had notes for a vs. post sitting in my notes document for probably the entire month now, what is wrong with me? D:

Fic recs, April 22nd: Jordan179 edition

Once again, though a good bit late, I bring it upon myself to memorialize an author via reviews of their stories. Though this time, it's different, as I had no connection to Jordan179 and only learned of his passing (three years ago this month, coincidentally), from this post

Another post about video games and Youtube and stuff

If I'm going to waste time watching shit on Youtube, the least I can do is tell people about it. :P

Ceave is a crazy Austrian with a love of video games and a head for philosophizing about them. Plus he really, really hates coins, no matter how tasty they may look.

Do you like video games? How about philosophy?

I like one of those things for sure, but no one combines the two better than a Youtuber named InfernalRamblings, a former professional game developer who now creates hour and a half long video essays about the meanings of video games and how they relate to the world today. Here's a few highlights, since this is now basically my only

Holy shit, how did I miss that story? :rainbowlaugh:

And, not to be Captain Bring-Down or anything, but it is just slightly within the realm of possibility that the real answer is that quite a few MLP writers just don't give a damn about continuity, characters, setting, or even logic. Just shittin' out kid-vid for a paycheck while trying to sell a spec pilot is a time-honored Hollywood tradition, after all.

Well, yeah, but we don't say that aloud. :V

Oops! :twilightoops: I guess there is a downside to being drunk in the afternoon.

or the real REAL answer is that the difficult topic isn't parental death at all. It's parental death AND incestuous teenage pregnancy.

One can never trust a writer to not play games with the fanbase's heads, after all.

Why do you always jump to the worst of all possibilities? <.<

4262721 To make the rest of FimFic appear more refined and restrained by comparison. consider it a public service. :rainbowwild:

Word of the mad God. :pinkiecrazy:

I still hold to:

The headcanon I used in my "rated mature for sexual situations" stories--particularly History: A Romance Continued--whereby AJ's parents went through such a terrible divorce that Orange Marmalade had a nervous breakdown when she returned to Manehattan and has been locked up in a sanitarium ever since, and Red Gravenstein signed the Acres over to his kids, took a job as a cook on a cargo ship, and has sworn never to spend another night on dry land for as long as he lives.

But that's just me.... :scootangel:
