I've normally got a hair-trigger being creeped out by mind-control, but somehow this episode worked for me. Been quite a while since I laughed so much at an episode.
Think it's that Starlight's a clever idiot that thought that would work, and that there was zero ill-intent in the whole mess, but that she still made amends for it. Good lesson there about cleaning up even the well intended messes you leave behind.
Oh, and really liked that fountain at the end. Neat bit of world-building. Really nice seeing something so mundane still clearly be magical in its construction.
Recommended. Fun little fluff episode, and some good character building for Princess Donut Steel Starlight Glimmer. At this rate she might even—gasp—be interesting one day. 
(Kidding, kidding, she's making great strides improving herself, and that's actually fun seeing. She's just not a personal favorite.).

Oh, and Dark Horse late today/tomorrow. I'm making a personal vow to bang my head against what's left to-do on #8 until it gives.

I really would have liked a Spike comment regarding Twilights 'want it need it incident' during her lesson.
But i agree the episode was really amusing.
