Holy shit, guys, like... I don't even...
So there I was, chillin' with my homeboy Wanderer D and he was all like "Yo ROB you wanna go to a horse con" and I was all like "Yo Dee I'd totes go to a horse con." And then we went to a horse con.
...
I'm incredibly drunk, so lets get this over with.
First off, I didn't do any panels (again) this year. Apparently some people were upset by this, because I should? I dunno. If they don't ask, I don't butt in. Most of the convention found me hanging with other fimfic authors or just chilling out in QnS (Quills and Sofas for short). Wanderer D rode with me, as well as Trick Question and a few other peeps. The road trip was fun, other than being so damn long. Once there, room was easy to get. Parking okay. Thursday wasn't all that crazy, just hung out and chilled. Friday though... Oh God Friday. There are supposedly some... pictures of me floating around (Looking at you Midnight Dancer) from the Friday night party. Apparently I'm a "fun" drunk, or something I dunno. So thanks again to The Red Brony and Fattymagee1 for dragging my stupid ass back to my room.
Then came Saturday. I have a few friends who do artsy fartsy stuff in the Vendor area, one of whom is Mastertortilla27, aka Keven. Keven is one of my oldest friends in the fandom, and a real dudebro. He's not a crazy party animal or drunkard like myself. He's very friendly and helpful, and is huge into Bronies for Good charity that has done numerous wonderful things to help others. Anyway, he mostly does sewing and has improved upon his plushies. Sadly he didn't get my very own, unique one of a kind Alicorn Big Mac plush done in time. Which, honestly, is okay. I'm not gonna fret over it. I'll for sure bring it the next year once it's done.
So, like I said Friday night was a blur. Saturday night was suppose to be the big Horse News party. Well, that flopped horribly. Not gonna go into details, but I have next years already squared away so that there isn't a repeat of this years. Sorry again, guys.
Sunday, final con day. I mostly hung out with fellow fimfic users and random people in the con, but at one point myself, Bad Horse, and several other authors went to tour the boats on the harbor. The USS Constitution and the submarine which I forgot it's name. The Constitution was alright, but MY GOD the sub was orgasmic. I love old tech like that. I could have spent hours in there, just drooling over it. Plus there were people in there who knew their shit and were describing functions and uses of random parts inside the sub. If I'd had more time...
Speaking of time, that wonderful bastard Majin Syeekoh hung out with me a bunch. After Friday's nights... uh... events, we both were hung over as fuck and spent an hour just trying to eat our lunches the following morning. Jimmy Johns is great for that, by the by. Anyway, he toured the ships with us. Hell, I even created a couple ships of my own during the con! Majin X A Taco, written by Admiral Biscuit after I showed him the general idea. Majin X a Torpedo, because why the fuck not? And lastly Majin X Myself, because we totally did a thing on the bow of the sub that Kalash93 should be posting eventually. Point is, ships were made, some sailed, some not.
Speaking of Admiral Biscuit, he was also there. Total bro, that guy. Passing around his shirts like the latest strand of Herpes. It was great, plus the top hats added a nice touch.
By the time Sunday came around and closed, I'd met amazing friends again like the people previously mentioned, including Skeeter the Lurker (The Skeetster), Shalrath (Whom needs to get his ass in gear and post more), Zyrian (who hangs out enough at my own place), The Abyss who is a cigar loving bastard and I'd want him no other way, and many more that I'm a terrible person for forgetting. And then I met some new people. Titanium Dragon, although we didn't chat much, it was nice to meet you. Somber, that guy who's waifu was Blackjack for some reason. Total bro that guy. I'd let him fuck my sister. Lunatone, who did his first panel and did exceptionally well along side Applejynx, who yet again held his own and did a wonderful job with Quills and Sofas. Jake the Army Guy had an awesome panel about dealing with the press. Seriously, I wish I talked to the guy more.
Gosh, there were just so many other authors I met and chatted with... if I forgot you I'm so sorry. Please PM me and chew me out so that I can reconnect.
Oh wait, I lied. ThejedimasterEd, Gary Oak, Bookplayer, and a few others I met during the authors dinner. You guys were also awesome, so hope to chat with you more.
Welp, I think that's about it. I'm now getting ready for Trotcon this weekend... because I'm a glutton for punishment.
