I know it was already mentioned in author notes, but for all who like Overwatch and Steel Blade and would like to read more about their backstory, here's link to my editor's story he just published.
After all hard work he put in improving Twinyverse stories and Overwatch/Steel Blade's apperances, he deserve some spotlight, so please, give his story a chance and some feedback (and if it deserves it, like and fave).
Besides, I am sure some of you would like to learn more about past of Twiny's guards.

They unfortunately are the main thing that keeps me away from your stories. They are exactly the kind of characters that I can't stand:
An massive obstacle and no help at all.
A very unpleasant personality.
not allowed to have fun hating them.

Odd you say it considering how many readers really like Overwatch and Steel Blade, most says they are a nice add to keep Twiny company. Any reasons why you hate those two characters so much?
Also, it is not easy to be of assistance when Twiny is involved. You can never predict what pops into her head, and so you can't prevent the disaster from happening.

my tastes have always been quite different from most people. Twilight should have the mane 6 to keep her company. Not those sourpusses. (Applejack is easily my least favorite of the mane 6 as she's also not a lot of fun and can be very unpleasant to watch at times).
The main thing is that they keep things from happening. They are a major obstacle to almost every single story and prevent any of the craziness or fun that I love in MLP from happening. Not to mention they are very unpleasant characters that I feel uncomfortable with every time they talk.

Sigh... Well, form the way you say it, you try to say that you have your own personal taste, yet the way you say it sounds as if you were accusing Overwatch and Steel Blade for being very bad characters in general, which isn't true.
Also, it wouldn't make sense for Celestia to just leave Twiny on her own without anyone to keep her from going overboard, especially after she nearly died in the bathtub. Besides, Overwatch and Steel Blade often fail to stop craziness, and instead they are just playing of Twilight's messes with their funny reaction.
So long story short, I can't please everyone. You may not want to read my story because of Overwatch and Steel Blade, but it doesn't mean they are bad characters.

I tend to avoid using the term "good" and "bad" here. They are just extremely unpleasant characters that really get in the way of the enjoyment.
I never thought it funny. Just cringeworthy and in the way. They also brake up the unity of the mane 6 which makes MLP so much fun. Don't get me wrong, I actually think making Twilight mouse sized is a really fun idea but that would be her interacting with Spike and the rest of the mane 6. Not those sourpuss guards constantly getting in the way and ruining the fun atmosphere.
