Morality: Not soft on evil, but morally good. While there are some he can't stand being around, being raised by humans did make him a gentle giant due to feeling surrounded and loved instead of like how his predecessors ended up lonely and full of hatred. When forced into combat though, he's easily one of the most dangerous kaiju of all time, both from raw power and using his wits to his advantage. Still if he can avoid conflict though he'll try to take the more peaceful route unless he thinks the opposing party can't be trusted. If attacked however, he will not hesitate to use force to fight back. One of Junior’s drives is to not let the weaker be preyed on by the strong if the weak can’t fight back, spurred by his own fear of kaiju when he was human sized. This means his humanity was in danger, this Godzilla won’t hesitate to charge into the fray. This also extends to the kaiju allied with him, many of whom joined the Defenders out of genuine respect for Junior and Lea.
Traits: Underwater breathing, razor edged back spines, powerful semi-prehensile tail, sharp teeth and claws, regenerative healing factor allows him to recover from all but drastic injuries quickly.
Physical Prowess:
-Strength
Godzilla Junior can lift and throw over three times his weight with ease, four times his weight with effort. This was well demonstrated during a battle against multiple Anteverse kaiju, in which he overpowered, picked up, and threw a Knifehead model kaiju almost a full kilometer.
-Speed
Godzilla is fastest underwater, able to easily outpace military vessels and only be equaled by the fastest speed boats on record. One stunt involved Junior crossing half the Pacific while keeping a constant top speed of over 140 knots (259 km/h). While he is slower on land, thanks to a long stride he can still cover a lot of ground. His sprinting speed has been clocked at at 200-240 km/h.
-Durability
Godzilla's biochemistry is completely different from a normal animal's. His hide and scales are tough enough that even the best steel and alien alloys have trouble penetrating it and it's survived plasma volleys, maser bolts, megaton grade explosions, and full metal missiles (basically giant spears). His bone, keratin, and enamel are equally strong. Junior's claws and teeth strong enough to bite through metal and cut through the hide of similarly durable kaiju.
-Endurance
Normal animals get their energy from the processes of digestion and cellular respiration breaking down biological and nonbiological materials needed to fuel their muscles and tissues. This process, while functional, has a horrible energy efficiency rate. Godzilla gets almost all of his energy from the nuclear reactor inside his heart, which fuels his body. This, along with a regenerative ability that keeps his muscles from tearing to pieces and bones from breaking from strain, and the fact Junior is in his prime means he doesn't tire out easily. Godzilla is easily capable of days of constant movement like swimming across oceans without much rest, and participate in active combat for hours on end. He can eventually tired out, but it takes much longer for him than a normal animal.
-Other
Being of a predatory, amphibious species, Godzilla Junior has enhanced senses. He can hear sounds too high or low pitched for humans to detect, smell targets kilometers away both in the air and underwater, and see in darkened conditions. While he can't echolocate, like a crocodile he can detect changes in water pressure to sense something moving past him even in complete darkness.
Powers (still present in Equine form, but diminished):
Nuclear Pulse - After his back spines flash with power, energy resembling blue electricity crackles over Godzilla's body until it is released as a powerful shockwave. It can be used as an attack that hits anything touching Godzilla's body, or directed into a limb for a super charged swipe or tail smack. The attack can be overclocked into a much stronger explosion, but this drains Godzilla's energy quickly.
Thermonuclear Beam- After a charge up period that causes his back spines to glow, Godzilla roars loudly as a straight, blue-white beam of pure thermal and radioactive energy fires out of his mouth in the form of plasma. The range of this "Atomic Breath" can be restricted from a short ranged fireball to a long range ray with a reach of over two kilometers. Power depends on how much time Godzilla's had to charge and how much energy he devotes into it. It can be quick and brief enough to just daze an opponent, or strong enough to destroy and shoot down alien craft the size of multiple city blocks. The beam itself has both high temperature and concussive properties.
Telepathic Ability- Junior has a minor degree of psychic abilities. While this has no active influence on himself or his abilities, it does grant him three distinct passive powers. For one, it can sense others of his species or similar species at a long distance. This gives him information as to their location and their current health. He also has an uncanny sixth sense to predict upcoming danger and where it is going to be, giving him enough travel time to be in the place he needs to be. The last gift his cognition grants him is to be able to judge if something or someone is a genuine threat or not. This has helped point him in the right direction of who's friend and who's foe when encountering newcomers.
Weakness: - Ingesting large amounts of pure Cadmium is highly poisonous to him and can knock him out. Absorbing massive amounts of energy without venting it off could kill him via nuclear meltdown (and kill everyone else for that matter).
Bio:
An orphaned egg the size of a small car was discovered on a remote island by a Japanese research team in 1992. Flown back to Japan, the egg was put inside a research institute at Kyoto. Instinct drove the growing infant to recognize the first distinct animal it heard whilst growing inside its egg. In the wild this would have been the young creature's parents. In the institute however, this turned out to be a kindly young biologist named Azusa Gozo who manned the monitoring equipment alone. Whenever she was absent from the observatory, the egg would pulse with a red light to indicate the baby was afraid. Upon her return however, it started hatching. A man sized, cute baby theropod dinosaur, the same species as Godzilla, emerged from the egg. Imprinting on the first being it saw, the youngster's view of Azusa as his mother was solidified. Azusa in turn cared for “Junior” with motherly affection, especially after discovering the youngster was far more intelligent than thought possible for a saurian.
Despite his predecessor's behavior, the baby dinosaur was very friendly and incredibly gentle around humans, especially Azusa who ended up having her job moved to the forested enclosure they kept the baby in, in order to care for him. The young dinosaur became an item at the institute, with the local branch of G-force that was in charge of security using him as an unofficial mascot.
Godzilla however, sensed the baby and was curious; closing in on Japan to investigate. A plan (which Azusa was infuriated at) was cast to use the baby as a lure to draw in Godzilla so the newly constructed machine, Mechagodzilla could ambush and kill him. After a lengthy battle between Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, the elder saurian managed to win. At the behest of Azusa, a psychic named Mikki convinced the kaiju to take the infant in. Godzilla adopted the little guy and they settled together on the distant, uninhabited Birth Island. Fueled by the uranium rich landscape and the radiation given off by his adoptive father, the little fellow quickly grew into a 30 meter toddler. Despite the growth spurt, he was still a bubbly, docile soul who would never harm a human. A disgruntled G-Force soldier named Major Akira Yuki lived on the island due to his vendetta against Godzilla Senior. Despite the man plotting to try and find a way to kill the older kaiju, Yuki did have a soft spot for Junior, who often playfully (if unintentionally) hounded the hermit on multiple occasions looking for a playmate. Junior however, got curious when a large figure flew at the island on fateful day in 1994. That figured turned out to be the monster first called SpaceGodzilla, but later dubbed Xenilla, a mutation born of Godzilla Senior’s cells in deep space. Curious about the visitor and sensing some relation to it, Junior waddled closer, only having to quickly start dodging Corona beams Xenilla fired at him. While Xenilla had no gripe against Junior, he was firing at his feet to try and get his cries to draw out their “father”. Godzilla Senior heard Junior and intervened. But despite trying to protect his adoptive son, he was overwhelmed by his “bastard child’s” firepower. Not having enough power to finish off his progenitor, Xenilla levitated Junior into a crystal prison, goading Godzilla the elder into chasing him to a city for a final battle. After Senior and a mecha called M.O.G.U.E.R.A., piloted by a crew of G-force operators from the Kyoto Institute alongside Major Yuki, defeated Xenilla, Junior was freed from his imprisonment.
Sometime later, a chain reaction with the island's rich uranium deposits resulted in their combined mass all exploding with the force equal to several mega ton grade nuclear bombs with a disproportionately enormous radiation output. Godzilla Senior was put into a super charged but dying Meltdown form as he absorbed so much radiation he was overloaded, as Junior was aged further into a powerful teenager state. At the same time, a highly destructive kaiju called Destroyah emerged and was on a rampage. After being informed about what was happening by Miki, Junior quickly rushed to the rescue and stop the still evolving Destroyah. Despite his lack of experience, the young kaiju actually managed to defeat the adolescent Destroyah by the time his father showed up. The wish to spend his last hours with his son were cut short however, when the now fully formed Destroyah grabbed and assaulted the teenage kaiju. After blasting Junior repeatedly with her powers, Destroyah dropped him from a high altitude on an airport depot, apparently killing him. Grief and rage fueled to Senior into unleashing his full power, viciously mauling Destroyah, who was seemingly killed, before expiring himself. The mass radiation burst put out by Senior's death could have reduced Japan into a irradiated ghost nation, had it not been absorbed by Junior. Reviving, the sole remaining Godzilla stumbled off into the ocean to rest from the traumatic growth spurt.
He reawakened several years later after the new Mothra defeated the ancient kaiju Dagahra on the re-emerged the Mu landmass, the landmass of which was near where Godzilla Jr. had been resting. Fueled by all his father's powers and his own growing might, the young prince had grown up into a powerful king. Soon after however, a dark presence descended on the planet and Junior quickly took off in pursuit of it before it could harm anyone the moment he sensed it. Along the way, he bumped into the current Guardian of Mortals, Mothra Lea; whom had been following the same trail. At first assuming the other was the menace, they fought each other to a brief standstill. The conflict was bolstered by the fact Junior bore a resemblance to Senior and Lea’s memories from her parents only remembered Godzilla Senior during one of his rampages. Soon after however, the two protectors met the evil. A vile, planet killing dragon named Grand King Ghidorah. Figuring out the other wasn’t the evil they’d sensed coming, they averted all focus to Ghidorah.
The two successors engaged the golden beast in a vicious battle. In the battle, Lea witnessed first hand how different this Godzilla was from the last one when Junior intercepted a stray graviton beam from Ghidorah that would have hit a news helicopter. Though it was close, they managed to unite their powers and fight as a team strong enough to fend the drake off; sending Ghidorah into full retreat to avoid being killed. Having saved each other's life numerous times in the battle, Junior and Lea became steadfast allies and close friends afterwards. In thanks for the help, Lea used some of her magic to replant the Mu islands with plant life to let Godzilla live there. As Mothra went back to Birth Island to rest, Godzilla settled on the largest of the Mu islands, Solgell. Over the years Godzilla Junior remained a steadfast protector of both humanity and the planet as a whole, fighting off numerous foes ranging from the alien Orga to the insectoid mutation Megaguirus. Over the years numerous other native and thankfully benign kaiju have come to see him as something of a leader figure, settling with him on the other Mu islands. The closest of his comrades were the ankylosaur Anguirus, the pteranodon Rodan; and his oldest ally Mothra Lea. This 'army building' came in handy twice. The first time was in the 'Final War', when Godzilla alongside Lea lead the Earth kaiju in a charge against numerous alien invaders that ultimately repulsed their invasion. The second time came in the middle of the night, when Xenilla and his forces paid Godzilla's a visit...
Trivia:
-During his life at the institute, Junior frequently got bored and glum in his enclosure when Azusa was away. To cheer him up and inspired by knowledge of zoos doing the same for some of their animals, Lt. Koji Shinjo from G-Force mcgyuver’d up a strong rope and coaxed Junior into playing Tug-Of-War. Far too strong for the lieutenant alone, more G-force soldiers and institute personnel joined in on the fun, as many as ten people trying to pull all at once against the enthusiastic dinosaur. Junior only finally "lost" when Azusa returned and tried to have a turn, spurring Junior to happily waddle over the ‘boundary’ line to greet her.
-Given that Birth island and his father were both radioactive, Junior unknowingly saved Major Yuki’s life. By constantly moving around the island, Godzilla Junior soaked up the excess radiation like a sponge and decontaminated the area just enough to make it reasonably safe for humans.
-He can't speak it (for obvious reasons due to different vocal cords and dentition), but Junior does recognize multiple Japanese words and phrases along with a few English ones.
-Finding out who his biological parents are/were is of no concern to Junior. While he is grateful for them bringing him into the world he is aware his egg was abandoned, be it for one reason or another. In his mind, it's who raised him that counts more.
-His greatest fear is himself, either worry of what might happen if he went berserk or that he’d one day go into meltdown and threaten the whole planet.
-While not photographic, Junior has an impeccable memory. Good eyesight and recognition means he can quickly recall faces in a crowd or at a distance, even if he hasn’t seen that person in years. Not exceptionally smart, he does however have a knack for figuring out how things relate to one another based off associations implied.
-When a visitor from the future in 1991 revealed that in her time, "Godzilla" remained peaceful and never destroyed Japan, many thought she was meaning at some time the then current Godzilla Senior was the one she was talking about. Turns out she was actually referring to the then still unhatched Junior.
-The reason his adult form looks different than his predecessor’s is because Junior has been mutating since he was in an egg. Thus his body is used to the radiation and thus his final adult form is more ‘natural’. By comparison, both of the previous Godzillas were mutated as adults. This is also why Junior has grown more powerful than his father, as his body can handle energy more effectively.
-While Junior is willing to accept allies where he can find them and does have an optimistic view of humanity, he is not deaf to genuine gripes some kaiju have with them. The Mu Islands are home to many neutral kaiju who do not with to enter the faction conflict or involve themselves with humans, Godzilla seeing to it they can live in the isle unmolested as many Mutations see it as his territory and will not trespass.
-Technically an omnivore, Junior’s adult form doesn’t need to eat because he gets all his energy fuel from the nuclear reaction in his heart. Growing up he ate everything from flowers, to fish, to donuts (blame Kazuma Aoki), hamburgers, and Lt. Koji’s leather boot. As a teenager he shifted to more carnivory, but thankfully never considered the most abundant source of large meat (i.e. humans) as food and instead dined on large fish, squid, and whales.
-While he has been tireless in constantly jumping up to defend humanity and his world, war has taken its toll on Godzilla Junior and his heart's desire is to finally be able to 'retire' or least be at some lasting peace. Had he not befriended Lea and the other Defenders, the mix of stress with survivor's guilt, separation from family; and fear of his own growing power would have caused severe mental damage to him by now.
-Both the Alien Coalition and Anteverse invaders are terrified of him. The Millenians almost left the coalition when they got word there would be an attack on Terra as they considered it a "death-world" because it spawned something like him. The Anteverse invaders beyond the rift, while stubborn, saw Junior's visage almost every time he killed one of their attack-dog kaiju. Sometimes they wouldn't even get a warning before their next deployed kaiju was suddenly "taken offline" from their sight due to Godzilla ambushing it. This has caused them to view Godzilla as something of a satanic equivalent and have constantly been upgrading their kaiju models to try and find something to counter him. No luck so far.
-Counting portions of the city populations for all the kaiju attacks he’s stopped globally, Godzilla Junior is directly responsible for saving millions of human lives over the past thirteen years with only one known fatality directly caused by his knowing action, though he has cause property damage before. This has caused a mixed opinion of Junior across the planet. Some, especially the younger populace who’ve grown up with him as the only Godzilla they’ve known, regard him as a hero. The older population is divided, some optimistic about him but still wary just in case things changed. And meanwhile another crowd was certain he’ll turn out just like his father (or worse) and want all possible threats to humanity, Junior included, gone. The latter party gained support after the Final Wars, seeing humanity’s sole dominance of the planet as the only good outcome and that the reason humanity had been unable to fight the invaders alone was because of the kaiju constantly being a threat. These conflicting politics lead to the Dimension Tide 2 firing at Solgell Island in 2013.
Ironically supported at first by the very vocal third crowd, the action caused an international outrage against the GDF when they heard Godzilla Junior, Anguirus, Rodan, and Mothra Lea had all be caught in the blast and were presumed dead. Perhaps thinking the world was better off after all with kaiju like him around and regretting their previous support in the decision, perhaps now seeing themselves as backstabbing the benign kaiju, or maybe just not wanting to speak ill of the deceased, public opinion overwhelmingly flew into favor of the more “Pro-Defender Kaiju” camps. A furious Azusa Aoki (formly Gojo) stormed into GDF headquarters and verbally assaulted Chairman Stacker Pentecost so harshly security was called in thinking he was being attacked. Until it was announced by Stacker Pentecost that Junior, Lea, and company were still alive; mourning and improvised funerals were being carried out by groups across the globe; some small and some on a large scale.*

Wow, never mess with Asuza's baby. Surprising that she managed to reach the boss of the GDF. Still, it's nice to see that there are humans who disapprove of the Dimension Tide. Also, really enjoyed the trivia section, Tarb, especially the tug of war section. The new bio makes me wonder if Cadmium would exist in Equestria or if Junior can still use the nuclear pulse in a ponified fight. Anyway, thanks for the improved Kaiju profile and I hope you did great on your Exam.

Anyway, this is really cool. And it's always fun to learn more about my favorite version of Godzilla Jr. That just makes him more interesting to follow, admire, and to inspire my own version.;) Very good on ya, mate.
If I remember correctly, Toho held a mock funeral for Godzilla after the DVD release of GvD.

3895691 Junior most certainly does not consider Spacegodzilla/Xenilla family. As for Zilla Junior not being listed it's same reason Gojira (G'2014), Anguirus, or Mothra Lea aren't listed, different species. "Family" for Junior doesn't necessarily designate sole closeness or alliances, just allies who also happen to be the same species (Raiga), had a big role in Junior growing up (Azusa), or both (Senior).

3895537 He is capable of the nuclear pulse still as a pony, used it a couple of times up until the latest chapter. First time was when the guard dog-piled him and he blasted them all back with the shockwave. And glad you enjoyed it
As for cadmium, I'd presume so but like on Terra processing large quantities of pure cadmium wouldn't be easy. Not to mention you'd have to get him to swallow it to be effective.

I am quite happy with how this version of Godzilla turned out, as I used a big melting pot of different archetypes and references, as well as the canons usable, to make the final product.

Well, i can certainly see that, as i've also encountered my fair share of depictions of the young goji. Though i do also like the other elements you added to make him as good as he is. All that work you've put into this paid off greatly, and it's always a pleasure to read.:)
I thought he was 90 000 tonnes, oh wait. That's the original. Why is Junior so much lighter?

3896163 The original Godzilla from the 1954 film was 20,000 tons. The 100 meter 90s and 2004 Godzillas, both close to Junior's size and shape, were around 60,000 tons. Only the 2014 incarnation, who's a bit taller and has a bulkier build, is 90,000. As far as 100 meter tall Toho Godzillas go, 60,000 is the norm.
I have a question: Will absorbing enough Equestrian magic (or whatever happens when an Equestrian uses magic to turn a Kaiju-turned-Equestrian back into their Kaiju form) cause any permanent changes to Godzilla's (or any other Kaiju's) form?
3896300 Nope. Any differences you see in look is just that when in Equestria, Junior's form is drawn to fit the Equestria art style. The transformation is basically working off the principle of giving them so much power, they can stave off reverting back into a native form for awhile.

you should add incredible Stamina like fighting and traversing cross countries and Oceans days at a time with little to no rest
and......that's odd but I remember reading that he has access to the Red-Spiral Beam/Ray
3897104 Based his speed off the Final Wars Godzilla and Showa Godzilla, both of which were influences for Amalgamverse!Junior and were capable of covering a lot of ground quickly. It's less because he's inherently fast (Zilla has a canonical speed twice that), and more he's just so big he can take a very large stride. Giraffes and many large Theropod dinosaurs can cover a lot of ground without really needing to sprint like most animals because their legs are so long.
Now apply that to a kaiju who's got a 60 meter stride easily when he's running. That's about 1.2 American Football fields in 2 steps.
Also as per your idea, I've added endurance.
Just out of curiosity did you use that manga image of Godzilla uprooting and lifting Biollante in her monster form as a reference for Junior's upper strength levels?
Also does Junior also have that secondary brain in his spine to help control his movements?
3899813 Actually I used the movies. Senior lifted and threw the Heisei Mechagodzilla, something about twice his weight, without a large amount of effort.
And yes he does, but it's no more vulnerable than any other vital area. If he still had energy to do so, he could regenerate it just like he could other tissue. To use some real paleontology thought, it's probably less a 'brain' as much as it is a nerve bundle (which fits the visuals more anyways).
Hahah those Anteverse kaiju design board meetings must be pretty awkward at this point. All of that failure must have resulted in some chief director getting fired. Could you imagine losing your job cause "Satan" personally kept blowing up all your projects XD

Huh, so does that mean that Godzilla Senior could have, given time and assuming Mechagodzilla didn't finish him off, eventually healed that spinal injury he took and the first Rodan sacrificing itself just sped up the process?
3902111 Debatable. He had just been severely pummeled by Super Mechagodzilla so he very well might have used up all his energy for healing on mending all the injuries he got from the fight. If left alone to recharge, yes. Otherwise, no.
The general rule of thumb is, as long as his body has energy in it to burn on his regeneration, Godzilla can heal from any energy. But if you've continually damaged him so severely he runs out of juice, he can be put down or crippled.

Judging by his appearance and powers Godzilla Jr adult is like a mixture of the Godzillas of 2002 and 2004 or that is what the information I have seen of the character in this story says, but if I could find an equivalent the closest thing would be Godzilla Of the comics, more specifically, the Rulers of the Earth is the one that most resembles him or so I think. I don't know if you have a different idea. There is no problem if you clear up any doubts.
