Shh, I didn't totally forget to do these. Nope, not at all...
*cough*
A-Anyway. It's time to show off what is possibaly my favourite set of stories on the whole site. Hell, these are probably my favourite fanfictions. Period!
One day, the Crusaders happen upon Ponyville’s newest, specialty flower vendor: a young mare from Alemaneia named Schneeblume. They think she’s hiding something. Turns out she is, though not in a way they expected at all.

Seeing stories you worked so hard on get added to things like 'Crap stories' and 'Dead shelf' is... well its a little disheartening. Maybe my work isn't the best. But if you hate it, don't rub it in my face like that. I know pleasing everyone is impossible... but come on. The whole bookshelf system is... yeh.
Well... since it's MLP it was probably a little more cute and cuddlier than what D&D portrays them as... I mean, they do have a gateway to hell after all that's only guarded by a dog with three heads, I'm pretty sure something occasionally found a way out
So she summoned the D&D version of a Balrog? I have two follow-up questions: 1) How does one summon a high-level demon without realizing it? 2) What did she think using the blood of a virgin and/or goat to draw a pentagram surrounded by Daedric symbols was going to do?
3774634 Yeah, and speaking of monsters that are mentioned offhand in the flavor texts of the FiM TCG, the so-called "scariest cave in Equestria" from Pinkie Apple Pie is apparently home to both the Multibear (from Gravity Falls) and a ponified version of Batboy (from the Weekly World News, a popular humor-parody magazine/ fake supermarket tabloid).
Its probably a reference to the fact that the D&D spell, "Gate" isn't always clear on the fact that it summons a Balor depending on which version you play.
3776718 Huh... okay then, now I understand why she was confused. I mean, you'd think a spell called "Gate" would create a portal to somewhere or make a temporary opening in a wall.
Now the better question is "Why the fuck does a spell that summons a high-level demon not have a more straightforward name?" Maybe something like, oh I don't know, "Summon Balor/Balrog"?
3777012 Technically thats what it does, it created a portal to another plane. But in older versions of D&D it was used mainly to summon the strongest of planar entities like balors. Thing about the gate spell, it doesnt in any way put the traveler under the casters control so when using it to call a balor, its best to just cast it and run.
... The stuff you find.
Well, at least it took care of the thing that Minuette's spell brought to this world.
Sounds like an idea for a short story with Twilights reaction being "wait what!?"

Ah, Balors are no big deal. Just load up on fire resistance and some Cold Iron Weapons to get round the damage reduction. Now Pit Fiends...
V vs B pronunciation
Balor is a monster
Valor is Worth in spanish
Clearly I need to look into the MLP card game for the flavor text.

Well. We should indeed be concerned...
Oh... That explains why Fin Balor is called Fin Balor...

The blood symbolises life, the pentagram symbolises arithmancy and the daedric symbols are the interface. It's clearly a fertility test.
