Another Chunk Done, and a Short Poll · 7:22pm Jan 15th, 2016
So I finished another scene in Desert Spice last night. Only two, relatively short scenes are left to write before the chapter is finished.

Once it's posted, I'm going to be taking a break from this fic to work on Monster Hunter: Equestria for at least two chapters, maybe more. Writing that story was way easier than trying to write from Horizon's perspective this chapter, so it shouldn't take me six months to have something for y'all to read this time around.
After those two chapters, I'll probably do a couple of small art projects and then see how I feel about coming back to this fic.
Desert Spice won't be going away forever, regardless of what I decide at that time. The hard part of Rize's character arc to write should be over at this point, and that's been the real sticking point for me on this fic. I've already got outlines for the rest of this story down to what major plot events happen in each chapter, so it won't be stalling out from not knowing what the hay I want to have happen at any given point in time like earlier. (I've got a similar plan already layed out for MHE, as well.) Besides, I'm just too darned attached to Spicy the Exiled Floofficorn to leave her forever.
And now for something (almost) completely different.
Until recently, it had never occurred to me to figure out what color Spicy's magic aura is. I've done some research, and while it's common for the color to match either the eyes or the cutie mark, the only real rule in canon is that if the artist thinks it looks good, it is good. Below, I have a couple of mock-ups of what it might look like.
So which do you think looks better?

As for aura color, the yellow blends in with her coat too much. I prefer how the blue matches her eyes.

That is a darned shame, as I hear the pics are quite adorable.
My other guesses are that you're on a mobile browser and the pictures are too large and time out, or that your browser hates Dropbox for some reason.
