I said that voting by Patreon supporters would choose one blog topic a week. Since my Patreon supporters have a talent for picking interesting and difficult topics, I can't write one in a week. That, or taking real money for them has inflated my standards of thoroughness and non-stupidity to a level I can't reach in a week.
Anyway, blog post writing is getting out of hand. I have 5 blog posts I'm working on that have already taken over 20 hours each, and 4 other big ones planned. I haven't posted anything in 2 weeks, and I still have to cut back. (This is why my Patreon is scaled by words, not by weeks or months.)
But if I post once a week or less, I'll never get to choose topics myself. That won't work, because there are some posts I need to write in a certain order, and because I wanna write what I wanna write.
So, I'm going to roughly alternate between vote-selected and me-selected posts. Roughly, because some posts (like the mysteries one) take a lot longer than others to write, and some (like this one) don't count.
So when can you vote? Each Patreon voter can cast 0 or 1 votes for each topic, and that vote sticks until I post it. So you can vote anytime, but repeated votes for the same topic have no effect. Where to vote is either on a blog post describing the topics, or using a comment on the vote spreadsheet.
Your Patreon word-pledge method is strange since there isn't a limit on how fast you can pull money from donors. Couldn't you just write a few million words one day and rape everypony of their money?
I'm not saying I don't trust you, mind you. I'm just saying it's a weird system that seems to discourage donations from non-risk-takers.
Voting is serious business.

Everypony who's followed me long enough to want to donate should know I can't write very fast, and wouldn't do a thing like that. Evil without style is more nauseating than good.
