Hello, everyone. Hope your holiday season has been going well.
There are a few announcements to make. First of all, I'm ecstatic to announce that It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door has surpassed 6,000 unique views! It means so much to me that so many people continue to read and enjoy this story, particularly since it's so old and was read so many times before I put it up on FIMFiction. Thank you, to everyone, for your patronage.
Additionally, I'd like to make everyone aware that Dangerous Business' old sequel fic, A Day for Spike and Twilight, is now on FIMFiction as well. It's no longer strictly 'canon' to either Dangerous Business or BTWOE, but I know many people enjoyed it back in the day, so I thought I'd put it up. I hope everyone enjoys it.
Speaking of sequel fics, I'd like to announce that a short sequel to Besides the Will of Evil is in the works. Current title is Time and Tines. It will serve roughly the same purpose that A Day for Spike and Twilight served for Dangerous Business: it will show the lingering effects of the events in the larger story, it will tie up some loose ends, and it will offer a slight hint of what the future holds.
And speaking of the future... there may, in fact, be another fic coming in Arda Roccolato/the Dangerous Business universe. I haven't made up my mind. It would be a very different sort of story, if I wrote it. My thoughts about any sequel fic are to take things far into the future, into a world where the Mane Six have fully come into their roles as Bearers of the Elements of Harmony. It would be a very different sort of Equestria we would visit, a sort of post-utopian wonder-world where ponies learn harmony at the hooves of the Elements themselves. I'm still not sure if I'll write it yet. Stay tuned.
I'd love to read it, if you ever decide to write it!
I hadn't realized that story was a sequel to Dangerous Business. I actually still had the EQD page bookmarked! :D
Whether you decide to actually go through with this idea or not, I've certainly enjoyed Dangerous Business and Will of Evil, so I'm sure I would also enjoy that story as well.
Ooo, sounds like fun.
For what it's worth, your idea for a far-flung sequel makes me think of 'Whateverdudezb' and his Elements series.

I'm sure your take on it would be sufficiently different to merit writing, but I figured I'd mention the similarities stood out immediately just based on what little you've said. :)
At some point, somepony is probably going to realize there's a substantive difference between Rarity and Rainbow Dash: Rarity accepts their hatred because she and they are alive to hate and be hated.
