    Fantasy Novels

Many of the comments to my previous blog entry were asking if there was any way of acquiring the fantasy books I mentioned. As I said, my goal is to get an agent and then a book deal, so at this time I've decided against self-publishing.

    August Update

Hello! It's been some time. I suppose I should keep everyone abreast of the latest goings-on in my life, which, alas, include no MLP fanfiction.

    New Stories Possible

Dusting off the cobwebs here. It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been writing original fiction most of this time--that, and going to graduate school. Even as we speak I'm working on a fantasy novel, which is the second in a series I've been writing.

    Update For My Friends

    Hello everyone!

I realize I've been terribly quiet for some time now, and that the 'sequel short story' I was writing for Besides the Will of Evil never really materialized. For anyone who was anticipating it, I very much apologize.

    Calling Mapmakers

It occurs to me that one of the things Ardo Roccolato has been missing is a map--a way to locate the various countries of my world in their relations to each other. Does anyone know of any good fandom mapmakers? I'm willing to commission someone. Calling Mapmakers · 2:17am Dec 15th, 2015

It occurs to me that one of the things Ardo Roccolato has been missing is a map--a way to locate the various countries of my world in their relations to each other. Does anyone know of any good fandom mapmakers? I'm willing to commission someone. I'd just like a visual depiction of the various lands I've written about--Equestria, Gildedale, the Crystal Empire, the Shimmerwood, Issidonia, Carcosa--laid out in a map's depiction. I suppose this is another of my debts to Tolkien; his map of Middle-Earth inspires me here. I'd love to see what the community could come up with.

I want to say ToixStory does maps, but I'm not 100% sure. c.c I know that someone stopped writing in favor of doing that, however, and I think it was her.

You might want to ask this lady.
She's really good.

Toixstory does, in fact, draw maps. She's pretty damn good, too

Maybe you could ask the guy that did this one. Although it's quite out of date, it has Gildedale and Shimmerwood on it already.

I do maps! Here's my gallery of work. If my style interests you, I'm always up for a commission. :)

There is Sinrar. He did this cool map of all that lies to the east of Equestria.

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but Hlissner's "Equestia and Beyond" map features a number of fandom lands (circa August 2011), and includes Gildedale, Shimmerwood, and Archback Mountain:

Of course, with it's age, it lacks the Crystal Empire, and the Equestria depicted is not even close to what was eventually revealed as the "canon" map.

No lie, I'd actually love to see any map you yourself drew up. Though I guess you'd need a scanner...

Heya, are you still looking to have a map made? I'm an artist/animator and fan of your work, so I'd gladly help! I also think I know some mapmaking programs for in case youd prefer to do it on your own!
