Goddess and spreadsheets willing, last blogpost before the winners are revealed!
I plan to post the winners of the "Dream A Little Dream Of Me" contest tomorrow evening around this time. (Might need a little more time to crunch numbers. If so, I beg your patience, and I'll provide an update.)
It also looks as though I've lined up at least three cool additional prizes — so once I get confirmation, we're going from three winners to six:
• 1st through 3rd Place (as chosen by me and my judges)
• Reader's Choice (whoever earns the most audience votes and hasn't already won 1st-3rd; ties broken by Honorable Mentions)
• Left Brain (highest-scoring in that category which hasn't already won another award; ties broken by who read my mind the best)
• Right Brain (highest-scoring in that category which hasn't already won another award; ties broken by RC points/HMs)
I expect to add the new prizes to the general prize pool, where they'll go to the first winner in that list who chooses them.
Speaking of Reader's Choice … remember to go cast your ballot! If you've got an entry in the contest, voting directly benefits you, because the act of casting a ballot earns you as many points as you're handing out to your first-place pick. Of course, it also gives you a chance to luxuriate in some awesome entries, so it's a giant win-win.

Hm. 5pm PDT for me is 1am... And I have to get up at 5am to drive a delivery van for ten hours. So I either put off learning the result for over half a day, or crash my van from overtiredness.
I'm going to miss that van.

Get some sleep and check when you wake up. I can guarantee that results won't be up at 5 pm PDT, that's just when I lock the voting. I'm getting off work then, and I have to go home and crunch the final numbers for reader's choice voting, and then write up the results post.
Sifting through all of these entires, trying to figure out which one is better than the rest while the clock ticks, reminds me why I have never, ever entered a Writeoff, ever, in my life, ever.
