Yes, that is indeed a whopping three words more then last week. Gaze on the grand skills of the master, and despair! 
Seriously though, I've been tweaking things quite a bit so still progress. Just not the type that shows in pure word count.
The 5383 words of chapter #8 on the other hand... 
You guys know me and deadlines, but think #7 should drop sometimes next week baring interruptions.

This I why I love/hate you. You post a massively tempting word count for a chapter and then say it's not likely till next week. Your stories are my crack and I need my fix!
But anyway keep going as your going, because your work is fantastic.

Ok nevermind, this is very welcome news. I hope it means chapter 8 is flowing smoothly, (and doesn't turn out like that 20k word chapter you had to drop entirely!)
Probably, but at least it isn't 'freakin' again. With ellipses your characters just... tend to... drift off... and...Shatner a... lot...

Eh, it's one of those writer things, but even the stuff that hits the floor lets me get a better grasp of the characters and where I want the story to go.
So ultimately even a dud chapter is a good thing, Just one of those that is extremely frustrating in the moment.
Shouldn't be a problem though, I know exactly how I want 07 to end, and 08 is going to flow directly from that. Not like that 20 K chapter that was more a case of a really cool idea for a scene that just didn't work in the end.
Why look at that, it is 'sometime next week' already! Where's my robot beer that auto-pours in my mouth?
