Since no one seems to have picked this up in the latest chapter of Take Two... · 10:31pm Jun 16th, 2015
I don't usually do this stuff since it's a bit of a spoiler
Which means you should stop reading now if you don't want a minor plot reveal that could lead to telling people what's going on down the line...
Now, there seems to be a bit of confusion regarding how the MLP word works, at least as far as the fanfiction in Take Two. I left a big enough hint that kind of explains everything, but with all the comments it seems to have been overlooked. So, I'm just going to spell it out for everyone right here.
Cadence is mentioned as being immortal by Super Alicorn Twilight in the future at the beginning of the chapter, but during her conversation with Celestia, Unicorn Twilight mentions Luna dying of old age, despite her being an alicorn, because she isn't raising the moon to shake Celestia up.
Ergo, Alicoronation does NOT equal immortality.
So being tide to a certain abstract or heavenly body makes a wielder immortal? (Hence why Luna does of Old Age since she isn't tied to the Moon anymore)
In other words, Celestia inadvertently killed her sister...
Or maybe we noticed it and didn't find it commentworthy.
I think it was spelled out pretty clearly in the text, so there was little point in commenting on it.
Ummm well, she say she wanted to say that to her but she cannot, so I was thinking that that Luna die of old age was a lie. And Cadence have multiple weddings. So I was thinking she was still around.

When the sun disappears, Celestia will. It was the same with Luna, until Celestia started raising the moon; then Celestia's life would be cut in half if the moon 'died' before the sun, or vice versa.
That's what I'm guessing with the info from the blog.
This is funny -- people got it right but the blog is confusing people.
...I noticed it, but I didn't think to comment on it. I'm still not sure why it's a spoiler. Though, actually, I guess that the spoiler would just be the fact that it'll turn out to be important. Ah well.
I never got the "Luna is dead" thig, in fact the way twilight phrased it made it sound like luna recovered, albeit with a crushed spirit. I can see an alicorn passing with no contact with their source of power, but as far as I know canon celestial gave the moon back. Did celestia not do that in the not-future?
Wait so alicorn said can die of old age, it's just that they age slower?
Wait so alicorn said can die of old age, it's just that they age slower?
That seemed pretty obvious, yes. How that's relevant isn't, though. Was the breaking point for Twilight Cadence choosing immortality over dying of old age with her brother? Or something else?
I didn't feel the need to mention it because you spelled it out so obviously in the story.
