Just a Quick Update ... · 11:40pm Apr 24th, 2015
So I just sat back and looked at what's left for Beyond the Borderlands.
Six chapters people.
Six chapters to go and it'll be done. Maybe seven or eight (some these chapters might get stretched out while writing; it happens). But that's how close we are.
The near-final tally? About 40 chapters total. Probably about 250,000+ words.
And this is, without a doubt, I think my best writing to date. Even better than Colony.
This one's gonna blow your minds.
Are you ready? Because it's almost here.
And believe me, you ain't seen nothing yet.
.... I only have two words for that word and chapter count.

Not the biggest thing I've written either. Colony is so long, no publisher could actually publish it without giving it super tiny text. It's going to be split into two volumes for a reason.
Seriously, the Alpha read is 325,000 words.

One chapter a week. Day of week yet to be determined.
3014082 You should do it every day or two, that way we can keep up with it relatively well, while at the same time letting you get publicity; once a week, with about 40 chapters, would take almost a year to publish it all. Moguera releases chapters daily when he finishes a fic, and he doesn't have trouble with getting new readers...
I just don't have the patience to wait a week for a chapter I know is already finished. I do love the Dusk Guard series, but I don't want to have to wait two-thirds of a year to finish the next book.

Two a week is a possibility. But the problem is that the quicker I upload things, the quicker the story is over an done. Like gobbling down a meal, and I don't have any other servings to pass out. Uploading it at a quick pace simply means that the entire experience is over for everyone really quickly—and over far faster than I can write new stuff.
We'll see, but in the past weekly or twice a week has worked pretty well for the other stuff I've released. I wouldn't expect more than two a week.
