I wonder what'd be left of it in the G-rated version...
2997268 little diamond has sleeping troubles, babs is confrontational like she in her first appearance. Has a little gang like she does in the story, but they just cause some ruckus rather than whacking people. Basically it'll just have the characters and shallow attributes of your characterizations. And they just cause standard teenage rebellion kind of trouble. The major plot change though has to be them being shown the light of friendship by sometime and living happily ever after.
TL;DR they are the very shallow surface of your characters, but they end up doing nothing like your story at all. Which to be honest, taking a good story and ripping it's soul out doesn't seem to far fetched does it?

Yeah. It'd probably also have a romantic subplot. Well, technically the original has one, but Nightcap's job isn't exactly G-rated, not to mention the way it ends. And of course, the big bad's method of punishing those who oppose him would have to be changed.
Manehattan Blues was my only thought for that. And I'd love to see someone try and make a G-rated version of the story. That'd be hilarious.

Yeah. When I think about it, probably the tamest parts of the fic are the ones when Babs is at school/talking to her parents, and the epilogue. Everything else has family-unfriendly stuff.
