Hmm... Best-worst idea ever, or worst-best idea ever? · 2:37pm Apr 1st, 2015

Source... like you actually need one for Penny Arcade.

Hmm... you know, s/he did technically transform in the back-story of Dark Horse, and I haven't described how yet...

:pinkiecrazy: Two point five deca-cycles ago, on the planet Cyber-Eques, the corrupted space-bridge Discord used his abilities to warp space-time, to send all who dared to appose him to the backwater world of Earth; wiping their sparks of all memory of their old lives, for a time making them believe themselves human... :pinkiecrazy:

The best bit? If I go with Gen 1 (the one I'm most familiar with) I could even pull the card that magic is cannon in the Transformers verse!

Because Spider-man had a crossover with the comics, ergo he exists in both the Marvel universe and the G1 Transformers continuity, ergo there's magic in the Transformers universe since there is magic in the Marvel universe! :twistnerd:

Not even kidding, I might add. :pinkiecrazy:

Also, this too exists.

Heck, I've read that one. And it's actually quite good, filled with lots of drama and even a few decent twists. :applejackconfused:

Anyway, I digress.

And the best bit? Since I'm insane enough for that type of crossover anyway and it's April 1, you guys won't know for certain if I'm trolling you all or not with this post until the next chapter of Dark Horse! :trollestia:

Source.

My little pony robot wizard, my little pony robot wizard, more than me~ets the eye~! Aha-ah-ahhhhh... :pinkiecrazy:

Well, that happened.

Update alrdy!

I used to have that issue of Transformers. The Spider-Man crossover, not the G.I. Joe one.

I've got a rather decent collection of the Swedish run of the Marvel comic, but sadly I've never been able to find a copy of that Spiderman crossover.

Heh, I guess it's just so insane that people want to keep it. :rainbowlaugh:

2932384 Nah, my dad just so happened to be into Transformers when he was younger, so he had the first four issues lying around. The thing was falling apart by the time I got my hands on it. I think we still have it around somewhere...

Transformers a weird franchise for me.

I love it... but I almost never activity seek it out. Think I got burned out slightly when younger, or something.

I do however have one of the more (in)famous issues.

The car-wash... of DOOM! :pinkiegasp:

Not even kidding, you can find a review of it here if you're curious. :applejackconfused:

Think that might be a reason why I'm a bit burned out on the series, actually. G1 had crazy camp stuff like that played absolutely straight all the time, but the franchise as a whole have just become more and more serious as time have gone on.

Nothing wrong with that, just not what made me fall in love all those years ago.

Thank you very much for reminding me it was April first.

Also, BLARGHH NEED MORE DARKHORSE (insert too many exclamation points here.)

Working on it, just going a bit slow.

Still, I'm slightly disappointed in the reaction so far to the idea in this blog. I'd at least expected one or two outcries about it... but eh.

Still, my inner :trollestia: is quite a bit curious how people would react if I actually went for 'and suddenly, Transformers retelling with ponies and Dresden!' :pinkiecrazy:

They would react by saying:

'Boy, that story sure went downhill fast.'

That being said, you can always create a story of comedy Omakes to your other stories, for all the ideas too stupid to make it into the actual stories.

'Boy, that story sure went downhill fast.'

Yeah, probably. :rainbowlaugh:

That being said, you can always create a story of comedy Omakes to your other stories, for all the ideas too stupid to make it into the actual stories.

Still... I think that could actually work as a rather decent 'tomato in the mirror' style twist in a (not so) serious but unrelated retelling —given the free-for-all nature of fan-fiction, but you'd have to be really darn careful foreshadowing it as to not have it feel like a LCD trip from nowhere.

Have Prime Princess Twilight make no mention of magic and act disturbed at the concept, making the reader think it's 'just' the pegasus thing,

Have pony blood glow slightly, since the average person won't exactly think = energon.

And so on.

Might actually do that as a zany 'What if?' style spin-off down the line. Kinda like what 'Off The Record' was for Dead Rising 2.

Should be fun. :yay:

For me, at least. Bhahaha!
