Howdy how-... Um... Er... So, um, remember how The Poisoned Barb started out as this little "Update it once a week, but only write the chapter WITHIN that week" self challenge to myself and how I originally had a reasonable 3K word limit on each chapter as anything higher would cause me to consider it a major project?
Yeah...
... The next chapter is currently 11K words long and counting.
I started it Monday.

Sometimes, when the muse calls you gotta answer.
Well, your previous chapter was well over 7K words and the one before that was 5K. You broke your limit long ago.
That's pretty good for three days of work.
...
You're not done yet, are you?
Better output than me and many others, feel proud dude.

On my suit, that is. Feel free to cry anywhere else.

I consider it more that you went Trance

Heh; as AWESOME as the idea of glowing bright pink with unlimited heighted emotional power sounds...

Admittedly, you would only grow pink if you *WARNING SPOILERS FOR A 15 YEAR OLD GAME* were from an alternate planet filled with soul-less clones of which you are one
Nice. You cant have to much of good thing.
No plan ever survives contact with the enemy.
As long as I don't have to edit it, I fail to see the problem.
Are you going to burn out on writing?

I hope not! I only started writing this story so I could work on something 'soft' weekly in order to keep my skills sharp for bigger projects (Like A Cog in the Machine)! It just sort of took on a life of its own though, so now I feel obligated to put my all behind these 'meatier' chapters.
Thankfully though the end is within sight; after the next "first episode" arch the story will be returning to it's original format as I go though smaller "episode by episode" chapters... Oh they'll be twist and turns and longer chapters down the road, but I think a little break will be in the cards for me
