Twilight floated a second fritter up to her mouth when she realized the first was gone. “What is in these things?” “Mostly love. Love ‘n about three sticks of butter.”

Blast from the Past: Now 100% Less Likely to Get Me In Trouble

Hey, some of you guys remember that thing I did a long time ago, where I wrote up 50 questions about headcanon and suggested people answer them on their blogs, and then, like, everyone on the site wanted to do it, and then the site mods sent me nice but stern messages suggesting I cut that shit out because it was spamming people's feeds?

Wanderer D posted a touching retrospective of his time in fandom, and that made me remember the very first I ever heard of the show.

Stuff that will actually be happening! · 3:55am Feb 11th, 2015

If you're seeing this, and you don't remember who I am or you don't follow me, it's because you faved A Fact for Twilight sometime in the past two and a half years. You might not even remember it. (It's the one where AJ asks Twilight on a date, then Twilight freaks out, then she realizes some exposition about why TwiJack is a great ship, then they go on a date. You probably thought it was cute or something at the time.) You were tagged because there's stuff in here about a sequel, among other stuff I'm doing.

Now that we're all caught up...

Stuff that has already happened:
Some people may have noticed that I posted a blog post on Monday! Like I'm supposed to! Yeah, I'm back on that pony...

In an unprecedented move, I actually edited A Fact for Twilight to clean up a few typos and some bad grammar, and fix a few awkward things which made me cringe. If you already read it, you don't need to reread it. But hopefully anyone new who reads it will be judging me slightly less. This is important because of the sequel thing... we'll get to that.

Jake R is hosting bookplayer bonanza over on his blog, starting today. He's looking at all of my (completed) fics. I am appropriately flattered.

Stuff that will definitely be happening:
Who Is Fluttershy? will be posted on my blog tomorrow, finishing up the popular(?) Who Is? series for the mane six. (I told Bad Horse it would be up today to throw off his evil scheme. At least, I assume he had an evil scheme. He is Bad Horse.)

Sometime in the next three days, I will be releasing a fic! Not just any fic, but a sequel to A Fact For Twilight! Surprise! Even I didn't know I was working on a sequel to A Fact for Twilight. I found out about EqD's Super Happy Hearts and Hooves Lovefest Fanfic Event, decided TwiJack needed to represent, and this is what happened.

Fit for a Princess is a stand alone sequel, you don't have to have read the original, but there are references to the start of their relationship. As for what it's about and stuff, it looks a little something like this:

But wait, there's more!

I have a fic in the current writeoff, and I should be able to post it sometime early next week. I like this one. I can't tell you anything about it except it is about a pony or ponies doing things.

Stuff that should probably be happening in the near future:
More Monday blog posts! Including Let's Reads, my current thoughts on adverbs, maybe more "Most Romantic Ship" posts, a very strange shipping post, and some more stuff!

Pictures and an update on human-baby-Trixie! (Her first opinion ever: Pinkie Pie is clearly best pony.)

A Rarity x Flim Tragedy fic!

Something else that I don't even know yet that ends up happening because I have no willpower and an overactive imagination!

Stay tuned.

For anyone that sees this blog and isn't following bookplayer, why aren't you following bookplayer? After reading this, go look through the blog posts to the right, especially the ones on characterization and writing. If you follow her, you won't miss any blogs like that in the future, and they're well worth the follow.

In the long description for "Fit for a Princess," fix:

she just it really is fit for a princess.

to

she just hopes it really is fit for a princess.

TwiJack isn't my OTP, but I think Fact might have been the first story of yours I read & faved.

While that might actually be her first opinion, she rarely expressed it in terms of smiling or laughing-- it was more that she reached for nose a lot and got upset if you tried to keep them away. In Pinkie's case, it's both directions: When Pinkie is on the screen, she giggles and laughs. As soon as Pinkie is offscreen, she goes back to however she was before.

Just a few minutes ago, she was fussy and watching Swarm of the Century. At the end, as it cut from Pinkie playing the parasprite polka to Twilight and Princess Celestia and back again, she went from smiling, to fussing, to smiling.

This is a very clear cut opinion.

Thanks! I actually made an edit just before posting the screenshot and edited the wrong thing.

And I'm glad you found me. :ajsmug:

2787014 Hey, the camera tickles!

Seeing this blog in my feed and then reading through that first paragraph, every question that formed in my head was answered a literal split second later, and it was a beautiful moment.

I do vaguely recall that story, and am certainly looking forward to more in its vein.

Trixie has very good taste.

And it's really heartwarming and interesting at the same time to see that Pinkie has a similiar effect on young children that I suspected she would have. There's always that worry she's a bit too energetic and loud for them but it's really great to know that, at least for Trixie, she's a source of joy and much giggling.

Little Trixie shows impeccable taste. :pinkiehappy:

And excellent! Two bookplayer stories to read, one old one new! Huzzah!

(Her first opinion ever: Pinkie Pie is clearly best pony.)

YAAAAAASSSSSS
You can go home now. You've succeeded at being a mother

Huzzah for another Bookplayer story!

If you're seeing this, and you don't remember who I am or you don't follow me, it's because you faved A Fact for Twilight sometime in the past two and a half years.

I'm afraid, mr. or mrs. square pen-like image, that I never favorited that story, and yet I still have no idea who you are. In fact, I'm not entirely certain why I'm on this website. I … stars above, I'm in front of a computer! Why are my fingers hitting these little square plastic things on the bigger square plastic box on my desk, and what do the odd glyphs on top — SWEET ALICORN APPLES, I HAVE FINGERS.

… I'm not a pony. This doesn't look anything like Equestria. Now I'm scared. I want to go home. :applecry:

Don't Panic.

I'll get started on Bookplayer's Guide To Being Human right away.

For right now, just make sure you don't... do pretty much anything, really.

2788883
You jest, but I could really use me one of those. I've been operating this thing blind, without an instruction manual, for 38 years.

I'm pretty sure I went off-spec somewhere in the first decade.

Something else that I don't even know yet that ends up happening because I have no willpower and an overactive imagination!

I know this feeling.
Though also for me I have no drive to actually get stuff done so I'll sit down to work on yet another idea thankyousoverymusemuse and get maybe three or four lines into it and then wander off to something else on line.
Which just makes it even worse because I have all these ideas I want to do something about but every-time I try to do something about them I never get anything done on them.

I look forward to things you're going to do! You always do such good things that I enjoy reading, so go and do more things.

Whoa, how'd you change the background to blue with wisps of cloud? :o

FiMfiction Advanced, by Sollace. I like my pony site to be bright and cheerful. Sollace is amazing, his mod works perfectly, and I'm always shocked at how quickly he patches it up after a site overhaul. I cannot recommend it enough.
