Oh hey everybody~ · 9:30pm Dec 26th, 2014

Hey everyone, I'm not dead!

But whoa, a lot of the site UI really changed when I was away :pinkiegasp:
...though, even with the entire site redone, Knighty still hasn't added any new pony emotes :trixieshiftright:

Anyway, onto some news bits regarding this author! I'd normally do some sort of cutesy Q&A with some pictures, or maybe come up with some sort of pony-backstory to my answers, but I've been dilly dallying and putting this update off for way too long, so lets just jump right in and answer all the things you guys are probably wondering about! No more messing around, just zim-zam-wham-bam information! Let's go! No more wasting time!

:trixieshiftleft:
Fluttershy...

*ahem*

Twisted, where the **** have you been?
Where? Busy.
I'm finishing up my last years of medical school in the US, and part of that involves moving from city to city to get trained by different departments of different hospitals. Basically, since June I haven't been in one location for more than a month, and combined with 80 hours of hospital work per week, there's just too much crap going on to really be able to sit down and write new pony. So, that's why you haven't seen me since like... summer. I always kinda knew this year would end up like this, and that's one of the reasons I was so adamant to getting Five Score all done and wrapped up before my free time dropped to nill.

Hey, speaking of Five Score, did you ever go back and finish re-editing it to fix the six million typos in—
Nope, still need to do it. Aiming to do that mid-January, I have a week in there where I have some afternoons off.

You said you were going to publish it! Like, a real book!
That is still the plan, though it's going to have to be 'under the radar' so to speak given the legality of it. I'd really love to just put it on Amazon and let anyone buy it at will, but copyright doesn't allow for that. Here's what I do know about my current plans to publish:
--It will be the teen rated version (aka, the one without the clop)
--I'll keep you all updated via this blog, so don't bother emailing me with questions on it at this time. When I know more, it will be shared.
--However, I can tell you the date. It should be ready in late March into early April.
I plan to finish the re-editing of the story itself in January (after which, I'll ask for some volunteers to proofread the "final" version of the story). Then in February I'll do some the work to turn it into a nice and perfect PDF with cover art, chapters, set page numbers, and all that jazz. So then by the end of March I should have a complete, print-ready PDF that is ready for a manufacturer.

As for how I am going to print it, if I can't technically print it due to copyright. Well, I heard a few places that you ca—
Err, I'm now being told by my lawyer, Applejack, that I should let her answer that question for me.

You tell 'em AJ

Enough about Five Score already! Write something new!
I am, I just recently managed to write the first half of a new one shot TF story
...but, as is my tendency these days, it's clop. :pinkiecrazy:
So, apologies to all you non-cloppers about there, but I don't have anything new for you at this time:ajsleepy:. I just find writing so time intensive that it only pays off for me to write if it doubles as clop material... and really, when you're writing about my niche involving males turning into female ponies (a species that is naked at all times), well, if that doesn't end in a clop scene, then you're doing something wrong. :twilightblush:

Dude, that paragraph above is a terrible run-on sentence. Aren't you a writer?
Shut up, you're not my dad!

How come you didn't respond to my PM I sent four months ago?
I'm like, not even kidding, six months behind on checking any messages of any kind from FiMFic. I'll work my way through them over January though, so you might be getting a reply... like six months after you sent it to me.

Ooo, what about story comments? I posted a question in the comment box of one of your chapters back in September! Are you going to go back in there and answer those?
Oh god, I don't even...
No.
I'm probably not going to reply to any of those old chapter messages at this point. I'll still skim through the comments because I love reading them, but at this point it would be pretty silly for me to respond to a plot question you had about something in a random chapter of a story over five months ago. If you really do still have some burning questions about Five Score, Royal Duties, or something else, post them in the blog comments below. I'll probably respond to these blog comments right here quicker than any comments sent to my overflowing inbox.

You ever gonna update your one shot, TF clop collection Twisted TF Tales? We demand more clop chapters that cater to our fetish for TFTG, forced pregnancy, tentacles, mindcontrol, latex, unbirthing, and sandwiches!
:applejackconfused:
Um... right, well, I do have a nearly finished chapter about a guy getting TF'd into... well, imagine waking up as this (story spoiler).
Mmm, unf.... But anyway, sadly the new chapter contains no tentacles, pregnancy, unbirthing, latex or mind control... and not even any sandwiches in leading roles.:fluttercry:
In any case, it's almost complete, but unfortunately is on the backburner due to holidays and such. Expect it in February.

It's almost done, but won't be out until February!? Holy Scootaloo in a chicken basket, you're bad with time.
Mmhmm, you're telling me. But here, just for fun, let's recap the upcoming events.
January - Twisted gets back from holiday and resumes 80 hour work weeks, but hopefully manages to finish editing the typos out of Five Score.
Feburary - Twisted asks for help for people to final proofread the newly edited version of Five Score, and in the meantime he finishes his newest one-shot clopfic that was mentioned in the above question.
March - Twisted turns the finally re-edited and re-proofread Five Score into a PDF file that is worthy of printing.
April - Cthulhu himself prints the book for Twisted, and it's offered at-cost to anyone that wants a copy. Hopefully.

Neat. Now give us free stuff
Here, have an original, eurobeat-style Christmas song sung by ponies.

Um... thanks? You do realize Christmas was yesterday?
Oh, shut up, I planned to post this a few days ago. I told you I dilly dally too much with these things:trixieshiftleft:

Better late than never.

I'm not sure how Pen Stroke did it, but Past Sins became a hard backed book you can buy.

I'm with you on this one. Twisted is a great writer and I'd wait a while before seeing an update from him.

I kept wanting to tell the purple header text to stop being such an entitled prick. :)

Happy whatever. :scootangel:

2680423 Fallout Equestria and Scion of Chaos also received published versions. In the case of FO:E, I believe the printings were small enough and narrow focused enough to get by. It's not like it was featured on Oprah's Book Club or anything. In the case of the later, the author had a friend do small batches of paperbacks.

Pretty much the key is to keep it within the brony community. Fighting is Magic and Jan Animation got the COD is because they were getting mainstream attention. There's probably other legal mumbo jumbo in there, but that's the core of it.

In any case, it's almost complete, but unfortunately is on the backburner due to holidays and such. Expect it in February.

I vote you leak the unfinished document for the enjoyment of me your fans. Come on, it's the day after Christmas!

Huzzah! You're alive.

Happy to hear that the printed version is still in the plans. :pinkiehappy:

...though, even with the entire site redone, Knighty still hasn't added any new pony emotes :trixieshiftright:

You've been gone for a while. This won't even be a pony site soon. Sorry, new emotes probably won't be coming.

Oh boy are you missing out then.

We got another contest up at Balloon Ponies, ending halfway thru January, that I'm sure would love a 'celebrity' judge. And participation would bump too :V

Nudge nudge wink wink.
:raritywink:

It's good to see you succeeding where you want to, though.

I shall put in my offer for edit work now, even though you're not asking for a while. Chances increase :O

The main problem with not being online for so long is all those unread chapters. Good luck reading through all of them. :rainbowlaugh:

2681605 I've whittled my unreads down to 115 chapters, but that's not counting the ones that came after I turned off email notifications...

I had no idea I was SO busy the day this was posted to notice it, and I'm horribly ashamed of that right now.

It will still have fimfiction as part of the site with the same url. Knighty could have already stealth launched the other fanfic site he was talking about and none of us would notice. Yay for us!

Me too. Five Score is still my favorite all-time story, and I would be ecstatic to own a printed copy.

On that same note, it's coming much faster than I expected, and I'm really excited about that. You're the best, TwistedSpectrum! I hope everything else is going well for you too!
