I feel better about how long that took when I look at the word count · 6:13am Nov 11th, 2014
Meant to have new "Not the Hero" ready last week, and it's been frustrating the crap out of me that it's taken me so long. (OK, so I wrote two one-shots in that time period too, which probably didn't help my speed any. :-)) Now that I look at the word count, though... that's reasonable, for two weeks in which I also wrote two one-shots. I didn't realize this chapter would be so long when I planned it (story of my life...)
I'm running out of runway, though. I have only outlined through Chapter 9. I know how the story ends and I have a random bunch of things that need to happen before that but I have to start organizing them and outlining them.
Also, I'm supposed to work on Elements of Opposition. And an original novel. Argh.
It was brilliant, actually. I had to go back and remind myself about what happened in the previous chapter, but that was no hardship. And between what happened in the last chapter and what happened in this one, I am seriously disgusted by Anon.

Yeah ... I commented at length on the original story, but this chapter was really excellent and contained a lot of subtle touches helping to define Discord's character, both by what he did and what he did not do. I really hope that Alara finishes this story!
it was good, and I think it was worth it.
