for some reason all i can see is spike being sent to earth and dying less and 2 minutes in and then years later being brought back by a Ghost..that actually seems interesting but i do not know how to write at all.

Afterwords, alternate endings, appendices, bonus chapters, epilogues, glossaries, indexes, out‐takes: these all either let us see how or why a story was written, ease referencing or simply reading it, or actually add something to the story. Your what if…? “chapters” do none of these, merely shit up my feed and increment my unread favourites counter.

Second, a lot of people like the 'what if' chapters, so I do them. It's not all about you. If you don't like them, don't read them.

Maybe your what-if could be if Twilight ended up in Old Russia instead? The Vex would've something new to fight besides the Guardians, the Fallen and the Cabal.

I post those so people have something to read until the sequels are ready to be posted and to let them know I haven't forgotten this story. I have been planing to do a bonus chapter that takes place either during Twilight's recovery on Earth, or during the year between the defeat of the Dratali and the completion of Harmony station. That or I might post a chapter about one of the other conflicts Twilight mentioned that she skipped over for being "not important".
2461844 Why not create a separate story for them then? I feel the same way as xoid- the "what if"s don't add to the story, they really don't belong in the original story, why are they there? If people like em, no reason not to put them in a "ItB What Ifs" story, make them their own story, etc- but constantly updating the original story, A SEPERATE CONTINUITY ALTOGETHER, with them is just getting annoying as hell at this point. Do they belong in the universe? Sure, you can say that. Do they belong to the original story which explored a different idea altogether? Not a chance in hell they do! The story wasn't meant for those ideas, so why do you keep cramming them down the throats of people who just wanted ItB rather then giving people the option?
Seriously, I loved the original story, but seeing these "what ifs" pop up in it is just plain pissing me off at this point.
