Am I the only one that feels like..I dunno..like this site has sorta died lately?
I used to not be able to maintain my excitement when I got home from school each day to get to check this site and all the new people I was gonna meet. But now, I just don't look forward to it. It's become more of a chore, I need to make sure to come on, check my messages, reply to comments and comment on a few group threads to show I ain't dead.
Maybe it might help if I take a break from this site for a while, what do you guys think?

Meh, last year and before this place was awesome, now it's just... Bleh
It's not just you, but I think it was caused because people no longer get notifications when people respond to their threads. That and because of how clip filled and hateful the place is becoming.
It's really sad...

That's just how the site has always been and will continue to be.
As far as hateful... no. The ratio of positive people to negative people hasn't changed whatsoever. The only difference is that you notice the negative for far longer than the positive--it leaves a more lasting effect and gives the perception that things get gradually worse, when they are actually fairly stagnant since the site began. Increasing the user base for the site will increase the amounts of all of the groups, but the percentages of who belongs to what group has seemed pretty much the same since I joined.
I don't ignore the negative, but I basically take every day as a new experience. Based on what happens day to day, I don't see enough to consider this site having downgraded whatsoever since its inception.
Of course, people are going to keep complaining about the loss of group notifications; that's because they're too busy complaining to notice the positive additions to the site. Such is the viewpoint of the average human, and it's immensely difficult to break out of that line of reasoning. I don't blame you for being pessimistic over such matters; most do.

I don't really see anything going downhill, though. There's nothing that the assumption is based off of. The only thing that I believe has gotten worse has been the sacrifice of liberties since the September 11th bombings (my opinion, by the way! I don't expect you to agree), which, coincidentally, may be exactly why we're here now. John DeLancie headcanon.

2457238 Yeah, I meant clop filled, and when I say that, I mean any quality stories are drowned out in the massive amount of clop and the constant demand for more clop, while good stories are left ignored. Obviously, this doesn't happen all the time, but it does a good majority of the time.
Ah've felt like that to. it seems this whole place is becomin less and less active. Ah remember when ha was meeten and talkin to people almost everyday on here, it was like a socializing site where bronies from all over could talk. it was Awesome!
But as soon as they got rid of the notifications, that's where things started goin down hill. Since theirs no information or "Notification" About what's goin on with yer friends in certain groups or what's been posted in said groups, people just stopped gettin on. Theirs no encouragement or a pop up sayin "Hey! Yer friend just posted something in ADP"

I liked the notifications, but I found that I would feel a greater need to be on the site to keep up with them there. Between the notifications and the Favourites bar's ever-increasing numbers, coupled with my near-obsession to see those kinds of numbers at zero, it overwhelmed me. That said, I actually liked to know what was going on, especially if something I really liked or felt passionate about was being discussed.

Well, I'd cry. You know, for like five hours.
But yeah, I've been feeling it as well. The death of the site hasn't happened until somebody does something crazy in the name of ponies, or the show ends and no more movies come out. But the site is lacking the magic it used to have over me, like about two years ago I used to be waiting for a reply from you, or FineChyna, or TimeBot3000. Of the fifth season came sooner, I'd probably be as active as I was before the "Great Pony Depression" hit me. And I'd be able to finally upload the third bucking chapter of my fanfic!
But no, the site hasn't died, and please don't leave, you're my only friend. In the entire world as we know it.
