My Rarity - TAPS, Ft. Eeri Hues
Going to be honest? The pairing in question beyond the point of 'puppy love being let down gently by somepony that does love him, but not in that way' squiks me out.
I realize there's an argument to be made for different species growing at different rates... but it seems rather clear to me Spike's closer to the kid side of the spectrum emotionally if nothing else, then the grown-up side.
Still, a good song.

I planned on having this track referenced in a coming chapter of Horse Feathers... but I simply couldn't work it in organically.
Basically the idea was that Björn/Harry, Celestia, Luna and Discord would be trudging along trough the Everfree to deal with spoilers, and a certain wizard-wannabee showing how charming he can be when annoyed.

(And yes, the irony of a half-Brit singing a American song from the revolution? Totally intentional.)
The spoilery spoiler of spoilage is still in the story (at the moment)... but sadly the uneasy alliance got cut. Still, I hope the mental image of fuax Harry singing old fighting songs on the top of his lungs while Luna fumes, Celestia sighs and Discord is trying not to die from laughter made a few of you smile.
Björn and Discord will probably get along famously.
