So, if you're wondering when the next chapter of The Rock Farmer's Daughters will be, it'll be sometime after I recover from this blasted pain I'm in. According to the doctor I visited, I might be in the process of passing a kidney stone, and good grief, is it painful! Thank heavens for pain medication.
At least I have time to think through events of future chappies...
Oh, OUCH!
I had gallstones with pancreatitis and it was no picnic, but I hear kidney stones are worse. Pain medication + remembering that it WILL end, really. Miserable when it's going on, but it's nice to know, not forever. And distraction as much as you can. You know how many people like you and we enjoy your stories (and your pictures!) but we (I, anyway) don't demand 'em.
Thinking through future stories is a great way to distract yourself from pain. You can do it anywhere you are, you don't have to hold anything or sit a certain way, and before you know it, you have lots of goodies.
I've really been liking all the things you've been doing with Tomato, and now Jordan and I have got references to Nickerlite in our fics, so even when you're feeling crummy, your headcanon marches on. Kind of like writing without the bother of having to write.
Get well soon.
Sorry to hear that. I hope you recover quickly. Good luck writing the next chapters.
Strangely enough, I have another friend who is suffering with kidney stones, and she too is a MLP: FIM fan!
Oh, and here is something cute that may help cheer you up:fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2014/206/7/e/cheese_pie_smooch_by_littlestplushoppe-d7s9fzd.jpg
Source.
Pinkie thinks Cheese is cute even when he is bald.
I hope you feel better
I've been on antibiotics the past week because of an infection in my foot. You win, though it's not really a competition.
To ease the pain, maybe you could write a few different ideas down, say different story premises in its entirety. Put the two party ponies in a different sitaution, you know? Might help to take your mind off things, and it doesn't necessarily have to be TRFD. Sometimes, I have ideas of conversations and how they play out fully in my head, but when it comes to writing it, I wish there was some brain transfer machine.
But hope it all goes well.
I'm really enjoying your work, and hope you get feeling better soon, though the soulless jerk in me can't help but appreciate the irony of having to deal with a kidney stone while in the middle of writing a story about working with rocks. Feel free to slap me for that, and may your recovery be a speedy one!
Get well soon
