Special Announcement: New Fic Incoming · 11:20am May 11th, 2014
So, the Season 4 Finale was awesome.
So awesome, in fact, that I cranked out over 7k words for a fic inspired by it.
"To Serve and Protect" will be a follow-up to "Princess Twilight's Profoundly Peripheral Protector," following Storm's actions during the episode. Needless to say, it will have spoilers for the finale.
Also, I'm doing something rather unusual by doing a limited 24 hour pre-reading cycle, on account of wanting to get the story out while the Finale is still fresh in everyone's minds. This also means that I don't have time to bug the ever-awesome Inu-Hoshi for a cover for it; art as good as hers can't really be cranked out on short notice. So, I'm tossing out an open request to anyone who get it done fast, well, and fast.
Update: Okay, 24 hours to get all the editing done might have been a bit too ambitious. Let's roll it back to "Very Soon."
The finale wasn't the most awesome thing ever made in history of FiM in my opinion, but it was definitely one of the better episodes of season 4.
Then again, to me s4 was one mediocre (or worse) episode after another, bar a few exceptions.
However, yay for the new fic! Can't wait
I'd love to do it, but... I'm a decent artist but not a fast one. Just a sketch could take me a whole day.
I'd say you have about a week until the Finale begins to fade and we all turn to binging on fanfics to get our pony fix until fall.

I'd help, but I do all my covers through MS Paint and mainly utilize images I find off of Google. At the very least, it'd be difficult to do quickly.
