Taking a Break · 8:58pm Mar 19th, 2014
Well, guys, I think I'm going to stay a month or so without writing. I wasn't planning this, and in fact I have like three fanfics in the works, but I can't really do anything about this.
You see, I have an old injury in my right elbow, and a couple weeks ago I had to fight a bear with nothing but my extremely long dick as a weapon, and that brought back the pain. I've been struggling against it for half a month by now, and I see that the only way it can go away is if I stop writing for real, to give the arm time to heal.
My penis doesn't need healing, though. It's made of pure metal and testosterone. Hell yeah.
Ahem. Sorry for that, it's my dick joke quota. I need to annoy a guy. Anyway, so yeah, I have a couple fics in the works (a comedy, a romance, a slice of life, and Shining DONE's epilogue) so it's not like I don't have any idea. It's just that my arms hurts.
And honestly? I don't feel like writing lately. I was talking about this with the guy who tattooes Captain America's face on my nipples every wednesday, actually. College is really pressuring me lately, and I went through a writing-fever not so long ago, so I think I'm a little burned out. The quality of my writing is very poor lately because I can't concentrate either -- you try to write without using your right arm and after five hours of studying how Guantanamo Bay is a horrible place!
So yeah, I'm being forced to stop for a while. Not too much, I hope, but don't expect any fic of mine for a month or so.
I might post blogs now and then if I feel bored, though. Maybe. I doubt it, but hey, weirdest things have happened.
Is that a idiom meaning that you were masturbating and hurt yourself?
Translation for anyone else: "I suck."
just so you guys know, he got that injury by hitting his elbow on the escalator in a mall while shopping clothes. While being accompanied by his mom. Yup, he's buying his clothes with his mom. Just a little something for all of you to consider.
Have a good sabbatical.
Here's to breaks in writing - good for restoring mental juices and regaining the quality you know you can produce.
Okay then, but you better hope that you can get back into the writing mood. A month of no creative writing can do stuff to you.
I'm assuming we (and but that I mean mostly I ) keep working on the cover art anyway, even if the writing is put on hold? That way we MIGHT have it done by the time you start writing again, and thus you can have the cover on it from the beginning when you upload it
Sorry 'bout your arm though, I've had similar experiences where it hurt if I moved too much..
So I recognize the feeling.
10/10, would read journal again
Hope the elbow feels better soon. Take all the time you need, better to take a break now rather than really burn yourself out and simply stop writing completely.
Poor Captain America.
