Do you want me to write a prequel chapter for Scoots? · 7:43pm Feb 2nd, 2014

Primarily where Scoots throws away the alcohol and runs out into the storm?

If you guys want me to do this, should I just throw it in before chapter one, or just make turn it into its own story?

Write whatever you want. Not what we want.

throw it in before chapter one

I dont feel that such a chpater is needed, the way we learn about what happens at the same time as Rainbow is what made the scene so strong, so adding that chapter would, in my eyes, detract from the story.

1788245 That is a good point.

I have to agree with 1788245 on this.
Just out of curiosity, how goes progress?

Yeah in my opinion the story doesnt need it and we all want to know what happens next :3. of course its only my opinion u can do it if u feel like it

1788262 I'm actually finishing up another one shot. I've started the next chapter, but I haven't made much progress on it. I'm not gonna make everyone wait over a month for the update though. :twilightblush:

Nah, I don't think it's really needed. It's an important event, sure, but not really necessary to the story. If Scoots can explain it in a few paragraphs without it losing any meaning I don't really think it's worth writing the whole thing out.

I wouldn't mind to see it as long as it doesn't slow down the releases of the main story, or perhaps make it after the main story is done, but in the end its up to you, most of people will read it one way or another :rainbowkiss:

I completely agree with you, the first chapter shows you how bad it is for scoots, we don't need to be told what we've already seen :pinkiehappy:
Also one of the point that got me hooked on the story in the first place was the curiosity of what made scoots do what she did :rainbowkiss:

Speaking just for myself, I don't think that a prequel is necessary. The story is great all on its own.:ajsmug:

And speaking of, when can we expect the next chapter? I'm anxious to see what's gonna happen with Scoots and her biological parents.:twilightoops::ajbemused:

Although, after what Twilight and Dash witnessed, I have absolutely no doubt that those two are gonna be declared unfit parents, have their parental rights revoked permanently, and possibly (hopefully) tossed in the calaboose to boot!:ajsmug::twilightsmile::rainbowdetermined2:

I would write more... but everyone else has already said it. I don't think a prequel chapter is necessary. If you were to do something like this, I'd want to see it as a short flashback/explanation by Scootaloo--which we already got. :raritywink:

I'm more interested in the next chapter. :raritywink: We know what happened to Scoots then. I wanna' know what's going to happen next. :trixieshiftright:

You could put it in as a flashback, or something.

A flashback would be a good touch. Maybe as a testimony or something to use as evidence or something.

Ehh its not necessary
Quade down there took the words right out of my mouth

I think it depends on if you really wanna do it. It's not important but if you do write it at least it can be something to show more of Scoots. :scootangel:

It would be a nice inclusion but its not really necessary

If you have free time I say go ahead. But it isn't really necessary in this particular story. It might add a bit more depth and may be interesting to see but that's it. Whatever you want to do though, good luck.

It doesn't really feel necessary to me. At least, I don't have any lingering questions about what happened.

i actually think that owuld be awesome. though not simply have it that she was pouring the drink down the drain. i want to see the day she endured as theri child before she could take no more and tried to do something about it as only a confused child could.

1788257 i think it depends on how you frame it. i realize that not actually seeing the violence makes it more powerful. however i would like to see how it reached that point. if it was framed like a prologue, we seeing her get upset and not quite knowing what she planned to do, so it is r4evealed by her conversation with rainbow dash and we find ourselves wondering what happened that left scootaloo stumbling in a daze through a blizzard.
