Well, you didn't hear it from me, but I think they're the series writers' OTPs as well. Do you see how the animators tend to include them in shots together? I love these little fandom nods.

Oh, and there was that one episode where they got married.

No idea when the next one will be out. I'm well into what used to be Story 3, but what's now "Story 3" may be pushed into the "Story 4" slot by yet another story, and that will mean that I'd have to start a new Story 3 from the ground up. It's complex.

Heh. The delay this time was because I was beating my head against a piece called "The Long, Hard Fall of the Snow King", which was originally intended to be Story 2 of this cycle. It turned out to be unwritable in its present form[1], and had to be scrapped, so then I had to start over with a new Story 2. Next one shouldn't take as long, God willing.

[1] The only treatment that the story would accept was a full, multi-part epic which did not literally involve the character of Cady at all. It might work as its own stand-alone piece some time down the road, but right now I don't have space on my rangetop for fifty thousand word interjection, which is what it eventually demanded to be.

Your new piece reminded me, I recall getting the idea from somewhere that these (this one especially) worked better if you'd read something outside fimfiction. Like, one of the licensed books I think it was. Is that accurate? Or am I okay to just plow into them?
