So... I now have a pony OC. There is no escape for me now.

Trouble is, she needs a name. Esle Ynopemos is fine and clever as a username, but it isn't a proper pony name. I'm hoping to come up with one whose initials are still E.Y, but so far I haven't been able to think of anything. Maybe some of you clever folks have ideas?
On an unrelated but incredibly awesome note, DeftFunk has produced a very entertaining reading of the first chapter of A Teatime Visit. Apparently, he did this a month ago, but I only just found out about it today because someone mentioned it in the comments. You should go listen to it, his voice is amazing.

I have, what I believe, is a really good one for the 'E' of 'EY'.
The name is Ersatz.
What is Ersatz? It means a replacement, a mimic, a stand-in, a substitute. It does sometimes have negative connotations, but here's my reasons for liking it.
Your name, which only after a while realised was 'Somepony Else' spelt backward, always rang out to me of the idea that you were but weren't a pony at the same time. The dual layer of saying that you are in fact, not the pony we're looking for hidden behind a reversal, is the sort of duplicity and general-ness that the word 'ersatz' carries in spirit.
Is this the pony that you are looking at? No, It's just an ersatz pony. One in a million, each equally replacing the other. All wearing masks backward and almost always... somepony else.
As for the Y, though, you ARE pressed for choice. There aren't many Y words in the first place.
Yogurt? Yiddish? Yodel?
I personally would go for the name

It sounds a bit mystical, meaning something if you look hard enough, but on the surface, meaningless in form. As it appears she's some sort of aspiring painter, a colour would also be quite apt.
And that sir, is my suggestion.

1035362 Ersatz Yellow... Hmm. The meaning to it forms a lovely parallel to Esle, and the way it sounds when spoken aloud is appropriately off-beat. It sorta makes it sound like there's an Ersatz Blue and an Ersatz Red out there somewhere.
My only source of hesitation stems from the fact that it might be a teensy bit pretentious. But then again... the "yellow" balances that out a little. If I were to really shoot for pretentious I'd call her Ersatz Black and make her into an alicorn with fangs. But yellow is a nice, unambitious color, well-removed from the drama of any grayscale-plus-red scheme.
*shrug* Ersatz Yellow is the best of all one ideas put forward so far. Better than Easy Yokel or Eggy Yogurt, anyway.

Although to allay your hesitation, I'm not sure how it is 'pretentious'. If anything, the word Ersatz is humble and humiliating. I do know it sort of sounds like a name out of a JRPG game or something, but anyone who actually knew the word would know that it sort of says that the pony can never really BE the original.
Anything called ersatz in common language always refers to something that is 'lesser' in quality, which is why I said it does have a sort of negative connotation. But in the root language of German, it simply means 'substitute'.
Perhaps, and this is just for my own curiosity, you could expand a little on how you find it pretentious or how you believe others might find it pretentious?
Would it just be the mary-sue factor in the phonetics?

1035398 Partially the phonetics, yes. It's an unusual, funny-sounding word and it gets to have a z in it. The other part is the *gravelly voice* "I am nopony!" idea to it that, combined with the first point, make it a relatively attractive choice for a fourteen-year-old looking to name their half-seapony, half-dragon character that is also a vampire.
I am letting my hyperbole get away from me, though. It's not an absolute, you-can't-name-a-character-this-and-not-have-them-be-a-Mary-Sue sort of name at all. Just one that might make a person or two roll their eyes for a half a moment. Even then, I'm not writing a story about her, I'm just using her as my avatar, so a couple eye-rolls aren't the end of the world anyway.

If she had more of a focus on storytelling and less on art, Epic Yarn might work.

And yes! Both halves ARE fully vampric, except for the half that isn't. The 3rd half. Yes, she's made out of three halves. And third half is a draconeqqus VAMPIRE SLAYER. So she's always at odds with herself.
