THIS STORY is in dire need of a good editor.
It's really unique, especially for an HiE. Definitely up in my top 10 for HiE's. Funny story about 3 guys who go you-know-where. Action, adventure type of thing. The storytelling is radically different, and just a gem to read. All the usual 'omg where are my hands?' type of things you usually expect of a typical HiE are completely dispensed with, and it jumps straight into the action.
But dear sweet Celestia his grammar is god awful. Especially in the first few chapters, but it tapers off.
So... just a shout out to anyone who's up for editing this monstrosity really good fic that happens to be held back by minor errors. I'd do it myself but you know, it might hold back Last for like, another couple months...
I want to offer, I really do, but I have too many jobs already and it wouldn't be fair to my current authors if I slowed down for them by taking on another guy.
Hmmm I'm a grammar nazi but I'm not sure I could take such a task.... but I'll check out the story anyways. And Hello again!

Hands has really been hit or miss lately. Also all that opportunity and you didn't post the original 'got-it-right-comedic-self-insert' of Through the Eyes of Another Pony. That being said, pretty much all fanfiction fandoms have the issue of a ton of authors writing horrible self-inserts. It's part and parcel for fanfiction really. I'm a lot more open to good storytelling so I may have to check it soon. I'd rather a tired concept done exceedingly well, than a fresh idea written so poorly it causes physical pain

Horrible horrible family crap. Totally sucked the life out of me for the better part of three weeks. Almost done my next chapter though and back into the swing of things again with a new job in the works so things are looking up! I'll have to give it a shot but I've got a lot on my plate right now so I'm not sure I could be an editor for this guy. Also my editing style is pretty straight and brutal and I'd rather not scare him away

Hey Redbrony, thanks for the shout out. I'm a good friend of fedora's, and I appreciate it. I've always enjoyed reading his work, brony or otherwise, but his grammar has always been atrocious. I've wanted to help out, particularly since grammar is a point of pride for me, but it's very rare that I am actually able to pour the time into it that it requires. Anywho, thanks again.

From what I understand he got 5 PM's offering to help. I don't know who he's accepted though. I've always wanted this story to be well edited. I understand that I'm very biased, but I've always considered it good enough to be submitted to EQ daily. I just never wanted to do so for fear of getting any strikes against the story for bad grammar.
854308 Dear Celestia man, don't either of you dare submit it to EQD in its current state. But FYI I heard they don't accept stories involving bronies. Could just be rumor, but I imagine they'd be extra strict with those anyway...
btw tell him a guy named Tuv seemed up to the job, and he's been excellent with my shit so far. My grammar is stellar, I'll have you know, even if he's been picking nits with it, but with story flow and shit like that, he's been great. So I highly recommend him.
Excellent. I'll be sure to pass that bit of info on. Once again, I appreciate it. Also I really don't know with EQ daily. It's been at least 7 or 8 months since I've been there. But I know that's where I found Through the Eyes of another Pony so I would hope they would give this one a chance.
