BEGIN THE REVISION~! · 6:00am Jan 3rd, 2013
Yes, kiddos, it is true. It has begun.
The book is now in its first heavy revision. Specifically the first chapter is already dusted up and made consistent. There will be lesser revisions done to this one after I complete this, but within the month, possibly middle of Feb, I shall have not just a story, but a manuscript.
A manuscript.
Goodness, I don't... I'm nearing the precipice of a meltdown on sheer principle. 'Cause I've three great fears in my life:
Losing my soul to petty desires.
Spiders.
And failing to achieve my dream.
I'm nearing the resolution of that last one. It is either going to happen soon or never at all. And that is frightening for multiple reasons.
Well, enough of the dread, now onto the fun parts!
Fun Part #1: Here within the next week or two, I'll be using some volunteer-readers to gauge reactions to the story to help me make judgement calls on certain touch-ups for the final revision following this one. Now, keep in mind, this is not a pandering to the readers. :( After you read, I'll be interrogating you to the point where you hate me and then some! So if you don't think you have the proper communication skills, literary understanding, or patience for this sort of thing, feel free to sit this one out. :3 If you feel have have those qualities and might like the abuse, hit me with a private message. I'm only going to be grabbing, like, five to ten readers, so don't sweat it if you aren't called upon. o.o It's because I'm lazy and don't want to do more.
Fun Part #2: My little editor has gone and grown himself up! :3 That's right, bronies... Bugsydor has taken the plunge and has written himself up a fanfiction! :D I am, liek, supar proud of him! He even went crazy and went the controversial route of Alternate Universe!
Don't run away! He did a good job with his character, setting, and writing! He needs love, too! And for all the help and work he's put into TTEOAP, he deserves some it. :3 Give it a shot if you've got the time! Tastes Like Heresy

I hope the revision does not change the story to much. It would be reading it three times over the original the small revision and the big revision that is a lot of reading for others hah for me it is quite small also I hope I get this right FIRST.

Congratulations on getting to this milestone in the novel writing, it is probably the biggest point besides finding a publisher once it is ready to go. Best of luck for when that time does come too.
And, I hope it comes quick, as I am somewhat selfishly hoping for more TTEOAP at some point in the future, between the rewrite and the tease of Ch 15 (?), so much to be resolved.

Anyhow, that book he's working on writing is pretty awesome itself. Not sure how much I'm allowed to divulge before I get shot, but it's gritty science-fiction set about 27 years into the future. And one of the characters is a blind child that makes you want to reach into the book and give him a hug and maybe take him to an amusement park. No awesome spaceships at this point, as far as I know, but as long as you enjoy Luna and Firewall's tradesnarked wit and can stomach some bad stuff happening, it's a great read.
He ain't kidding about that interrogation, though.You'd best bring your brown pants if you plan on prereading there.

Great to see that the story is coming along so well. I know you only want a few serious prereaders, but is there any way others could see the story? It sounds like it's pretty interesting, and I'd llove to read a bit.

That sounds rather abusive and a little exploitive side, but I was not kidding when I said I want this to be my lifelong profession. A little bit of anxiety now might mean a lot more consistent content later~!
