Semillon's was the stand-out this week. An intriguing dark, saucy, fic. I would say its 'M' tag is fairly soft.

Thanks to the wonderful Blackblade360 who was sweet enough to suggest lots of fics for me to review, I read Passing Comet by Admiral Producer which was a melancholic Maretime bay one-shot. I also read part of the amazingly written Silver Standard, thanks to a recc from Loganberry.

I have been listening to Ethan Toavs non-stop all week. He is amazing. He is even more amazing if you like G3! His stuff is orchestral, so you can work/write to it. The thing I love about it, is the way he takes show tunes and themes and sets them to orchestra. He is an underappreciated gem!
Those are my top two this week, but he produces these masterpieces in their droves! I have a longer list of highlights.

Dialogue: avoiding "he said she said"
“Don’t tell me she’s still beavering away on her book!? Even during the Spring Promenade.”
“She’s promised to read me a bed-time story,” Ocean says, trying to assuage Wysteria’s concern by referring to Kimono’s more ‘normal’ behaviours.
What's wrong here? It seems ok. But actually, using said a "says" tag when you are not describing the way in which something is said, is dull. Also, here, Ocean is not answering the question, so it is vital to call that out immediately.

I should have used "speak like a grown ass-man" somehow in my retort. It was an opportunity missed.
Also I got shouted at for various reasons by sweet pony folk on a certain G3 server. But I would forgive these cute G3-ers anything. They can stomp on me with their sparkly hooves :3
