I Came Back From Surgery Today
I have Eldenath typing for me, as I dictate. I am a Dictator, now. Ha, ha, I made her type that.

They gave me a nerve block, so my entire right arm is basically like a dead lump of flesh hanging off my body. The weird thing is, I have some kind of phantom limb syndrome going on. I can feel a "ghost" arm inside myself, that I can move - or, at least, it feels like it's moving - in some etherial space.
Really, really weird.
Because of the nerve block, no pain, at least until it wears off. After that, I have Oxycodone to take. It will be quite a while before I know whether I'm better off or not.
I made all of the staff laugh, by telling them that I felt like a piece of meat being carved on - I told them I was a "porkchop with delusions of self-awareness". Apparently that is a big knee-slapper in a surgical ward.
Anyway, I made it, I'm alive. Sorry about that.
