    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Well, because there was no TYT this week...

Here's an absolutely adorable tutorial on how to hug your pony from doubleWbrothers.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

I'm not surprised. Just sad. · 10:25pm March 6th

The news broke this morning that Rooster Teeth Productions is shutting down.

This company was a huge part of my late teens and early 20s.

Like many, I discovered Rooster Teeth and Red vs Blue through the Making of Halo 2 documentary in November of 2004. I remember finding the DVDs of Seasons 1 and 2 a few weeks later at Gamestop, and taking them over to a friend's house for a watch party with him and his friends. The laughter was heard throughout the house.

Even my mom found the early seasons hilarious.

It inspired me and my friends to make our own machinima shorts, even for a school assignment in one case.

I happily spent hours and hours making videos for Community Hunter from 2008 to 2011.

It was where I discovered the Brony fandom in early 2011.

I stopped going to the site after the revamp in '15, going to spend almost all of my online time on Reddit and here on Fimfiction. But before that, I always felt it was one of the last bastions of the "old internet", with smaller, tighter-knit communities.

I made friends there, one of whom I still talk to daily, and regardless of how short-lived my marriage was, it was where I found love for the first time.

I'll remember RT for what it used to be, instead of what it turned into.

I never watched RT in my childhood, but I heard them a lot more a few years ago. Although that revolved around the mass amount of controversies that destroyed their brand and workers morale.

RIP to them. I feel sorry for the employees.

Wait. That means no more RWBY and Death Battle?

I understand shutting down RWBY, but Death Battle???

So they're finally shutting down dang that was very unexpected

Such a shame RT went on to have every corporate problem possibly.

Hopefully some company will revie those show

5771270
Let's hope so. If it happens, then I really wish for a RWBY remake; one that follows Monty's vision.

I watched Halo Fails of the Weak for about a year or two in college... that's it. Sounds like it had a good run, at least for the first decade.

5771272
Yes, the first decade, they were on top of the world.

It's been a very slow demise.

Wow, I was not expecting that. I remember binge watching Red Vs. Blue and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will miss their content.

It sucks. Every era must end.

Since every series is now going to be up in the air, hopefully they will get picked up by some companies.

My pipe dream:
Microsoft buys RvB and makes the characters into AI announcers in Infinite (and future titles).

Sad news indeed my bros!

5771267
Everything is still up in the air. Bad news is it's all owned by discovery and they have a bad habit of tossing content into a black hole so the race is on to archive the entirety of the roosters teeth website.

5771285 A24 could finish RWBY.

Alas, yet another part of the classical internet air lost to the passage of time...
5771285
Honesty, that might just be the only time people are happy to hear that a big company is using AI

What is going to happen to Death Battle?

Yeah, I'm going to miss Rooster teeth too they made a lot of videos that I fell in love with such as Achievement Hunter Halo fails of the week videos and RvB.

RIP Rooster Teeth. You'll be missed. :ajsleepy:

Although they were around since 2003, in Internet Time, that's effectively much of my life. I wasn't as much into them as others, but I did see at least some of Red vs. Blue along with Achievement Hunter, Let's Play, and gaming fails. I've watched a number of their Minecraft videos, at least enough that I know about the Tower of Pimps and Going Cakeless. I haven't seen RWBY yet, not sure why. I'm glad Microsoft was okay with them making Red vs. Blue, because if they told them to stop, that would have probably changed history quite a bit for Internet culture.

At this rate, I'm finding it difficult to remember what's left from the older Internet days, before YouTube. Newgrounds is still a thing, but Adobe Flash isn't.

Talks are in the works to sell the rights to genlok.... and R.W.B.Y., so all hope isn't lost. R.W.B.Y. needs to continue, it can't be left there.

5771319
RvB, GenLock, and RWBY, last I heard.

5771325
I liked rvb, but it went too long for my taste. Rwby is the only thing I'm personally concerned about. Though I hope all the fans get what they want, as well as the animators get good jobs.

5771326
Almost all of RT's content fell off of my radar after I left the site.

I rewatched Seasons 1-13 when they were on Netflix and YouTube.

Only reason RvB Zero blipped on my radar was everyone was talking about how bad it was.

If this final season of RvB goes through, the only question is will it be better than Season 13's finale?

I loved Red vs. Blue, though mainly just go by the first five seasons which tell a story that kinda has a conclusion at least regarding O'Malley and such. I consider it one of the funniest things I ever seen. I have the DVD's but I hope they don't fade and become lost media if you don't already have them.

5771328
Some members of the Rooster Teeth subreddit are currently undertaking archiving the entire site.

I never watched Rooster Teeth, I just heard about them now and then, but it sounds like they went though the same type of downfall so many other online groups went though.

5771265
Where can I get more info on those controversies? I never knew much about RT.

5771723
Here's some of them in the second half of this video:

"Purchased by Fullscreen/Downfall inevitable"
"Trying to be Netflix"
"Genlock and the glassdoor controversy"
"Continued failures and millions of dollars in losses"
"Two Founders leave"
"Endless Controversies/On the Verge of collapse"

I hope they at least finish RWBY…

5771892
RWBY, RvB, and GenLOCK are being shopped around by Warner-Discovery, last I heard.

5771893
Sounds like that’s it for those series and fanfiction the only hope of seeing even an idea of how it ends…

5771896
RvB Restoration is still coming out. Details are forthcoming.

5771897
Well, with how the X-Box 360 I was using as my DVD player isn’t talking with my new TV, I have a large backlog of other stuff to watch, such as Fate/Stay Night and Sword Art Online’s Aincrad and Fairy Dance arcs…

Still, it’s nice to know that RWBY’s not dead.
