I hope everyone's having a great last day of the world. I know I sure am, and it's due in no small part to all you guys! I can think of no finer way to spend the apocalypse than cuddling up with my significant other and reading some great pony stories and doing my best to write some good ones. And if the sun still comes up tomorrow, well then that's more time to write more ponyfic!
Speaking of writing more ponyfic, I've got another one in the barrel for y'all. You know that feeling when you're trying to write one thing, but all you can come up with is ideas for a completely different story? Yeah, that's this story. It's a short AppleDash one-shot (Ugh, I can't believe I actually wrote an AppleDash! Pinkie, you can have AJ back soon, I promise, Dash is just borrowing her for a bit.), it's a bit on the sadder end of the spectrum, and I'll have it in the queue as soon as I hear back from my proof-reader. I would tell you that the title is Of Loyalty and Honesty, but that is horribly generic and I am hoping to get some advice from my proof-reader to pick a better one, so it is most likely subject to change. Assuming there will be such a thing as the next few days, expect to see it within then.
May you live all your days as you would wish to live your last one.
As we all should. I'll be looking forward to your next story amidst the fire and chaos. And regarding titles, sometimes simplicity is good.
And concerning the Mayan Apocalypse:
>AppleDash
Ugh. I know that feeling. It's like you can never get clean again.
635981 I know, right?
Aw, sad? Sad makes Cloudy sad, but I'm very glad to see you're writing writing writing; happy end of world to you too!
636492 It ends happy (the story, that is, I can't say for sure about the world, but I hope that turns out good, too). It takes some feels to get there, but just over 2500 words it doesn't take a whole lot of time feeling sad before getting to the happy end.
But I understand if you don't like sad. I can only take it in small doses, myself. I got a nice, fluffy TwiShy in the works after this (the hitherto mentioned story I wanted to work on when all I could think of was ideas for the AppleDash) that is about as far from the [Sad] tag as it could possibly be; hopefully that can make you happy.
And yes, keeping on writing is a very good thing. If I didn't keep writing, then I'd stop writing, and if I stopped writing, then I wouldn't get to write. And that would be terrible!
Come to think of it, I sure am writing a lot of shipping lately. It's almost as if the success of SaP has made me start thinking of myself as an actual shipper.
Oh no.
The AppleDash scourge is spreading.
This is bad times. Bad times for everyone.
That said, though, I'll have to check it out after I get back from my trip proper, since... you know. Research. Yeah, that's right. Research.![:unsuresweetie:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/unsuresweetie.png)
650384 Well, while this fic is half the length it needs in order to qualify for that AppleDash contest, it is probably the reason I was thinking of AppleDash ideas in the first place. It would seem that the contest is doing what it was designed for.
I hope I'll have it up by the time you get back. I haven't heard from my pre-reader in a while. If I don't get word from him soon, I may have to go ahead and make do with self-edits. It's not very long, and I don't make a lot of grammar errors in my first drafts. Not much to pre-read.
636544 Incredibly late reply go! No really, the sad thing is pretty much just a mental block. It prevents me from starting stories, not reading them, but for the moment I will be awaiting this TwiShy with a huge dopey smile on my face. You just seem to keep picking all these lesser-done ships that're on my to-do list. I still need to do every ship, eventually, but it's really neat to see somepony else write them. Can't wait!

No comment, except "proceed."
