It is snowing today.

Early this morning, shortly after eating and receiving his insulin shot along with some newly-prescribed heart medication, my dog, Cody, passed away in my arms from what appears to have been a heart attack. I was able to revive him for a final few seconds with CPR, and felt him give his last breaths before going still.

The vet told us that he still had almost a year to live once the medicine started taking effect. But I guess we were either too late, or his body decided to give out anyway.

No Fractures updates or anything else of the sort for the time being. Maybe tomorrow, maybe the day after. I don't know right now. All that's left is a little box of Cody's old chew toys and a little mesh bag of his coat.

I lost my dog a little over four years ago now. We had to put her down after she had a stroke. I'm sure if he could live again, he would have changed nothing. Hang in there.
