At last! For the first time in a long time, I feel mentally healthy.
Gruelling and slow as the year has been, 2022 has finally taught me what I needed to have learned years and years ago: how to make peace with myself, and why self-care and self-esteem aren't luxuries I have to "earn", but as essential to my well-being as water and shelter. It's refreshing, (and stabilizing), and it's put a lot of things into perspective.
Work continues, of course. I find - with most things - you don't just do it once and that's it. Recently in my spare time, I've been keeping my mind active learning a bit of science. In this case, by e.g. learning about the body's lymphatic and immune systems, and how they work (I've finally figured out what the spleen is for!). Also, I've got plenty of post-Christmas tidying-up to do.
And I'm actually looking forward to it! As the saying goes: "Things won are done; joy's soul lies in the doing."
So yeah, a good start to the year.

That's what I like about the New Year: you look at the empty calendar and you get to ask, "OK, let's fill this up with some cool stuff, yeah?" So much potential...

Interesting to see what the New Year will bring for the pony fandom, too. I'm not watching the new pony media at the moment, but it's still something I read about in your blog updates, for example. I like to see what it's doing for other people, just in case.

Well, I for one definitely have a few targets on my To Do List. Less for the achievement, and more because I find the process enjoyable in itself: that's the idea I'm keeping in mind.
Haven't forgotten that Gravity Falls retrospective, for example. The next one's the one with the Dipper clones, and boy do I have fun with that!
