So:
On this web site, if you page down to #8, you'll see something called "Arc of a Scythe" by Neal Shusterman.
Which is a mistake right there. The series is called "Arc of the Scythe," New York Times, not "Arc of a Scythe." I mean, c'mon, let's get it together here, people!
But the reason that the "Arc of the Scythe" is at #8 on the New York Times' Children's Series best seller list is that a new book in the series just came out last week. That book, entitled Gleanings, is an anthology of stories set during the course of the original trilogy, and as I mentioned in this blogpost last month, I co-wrote one of the stories.
So I'm guessing I can now legally call myself a New York Times Best Selling author...
Oh, and also in that blog post last month? I mentioned "Cut Me Like a Curse," the story I'd written for FanOfMostEverything's Ancestral Tribute contest. The judges there ended up awarding the story 3rd place.
A lot continues going on, in other words, some of it more surreal than others of it.
Mike
Does this mean that, thanks to some old writeoff comments, I can now legally say I'm an "editor for a New York Times Best Selling Author?"
Seriously though, congrats on being associated with something great, and for the FoME fic!
Hey, congratulations!
Ooh bravo! n_n
Woo! Congratulations, AugieDog!
