Huh.
~._~.
That escalated quickly.
Sex in her office? Just brilliant you two! XD
Also...
That gave me a good laugh maybe between chapters Spring will "Help" her
eye brows waggled - eyebrows waggled
was there first - was their first
involved winking petals - involved the winking petals
*****
Well, that happened.
Razz is showing more of a backbone, at least where Bubbles is concerned, and Bubbles seems to be softening slightly, by her own admission.
It's a good chapter, but wholly unexpected.
This story is starting to leave me nonplussed with a degree of regularity.
I have to admit, the scene with Bubbles and Razz in the beginning was much more heartfelt than I'd expected. The two of them seem to be making the transition from friendship to love with surprising smoothness. Maybe it was because it was about Tabitha, but not only did Razz stand up to Bubbles casual disrepect for their landlady - I'd have bet money that he'd have folded at the risk of Bubbles' ire - but he did so without letting things degenerate into a fight. Instead, he was everything he should be: forthright without being argumentative, and firm without being dismissive. He even explained his points in a cogent way that avoided indicting Bubbles in any fashion, which left her completely disarmed and unable to continue to be so abrasive.
In short, he not only handled her perfectly, but in an uncharacteristically mature manner. It's enough to make me wonder if I was wrong to indict their relationship in my previous post. That, and the two of them were so incredibly comfortable saying that they loved each other...that part felt almost too natural. They're still as the nascent stage of their relationship; you'd think that being able to drop the L-word would have caused someone's heart to flutter.
That said, we did get the requisite spike of anxiety on Razz's part when Bubbles brought up the issue of sex. She's clearly not a virgin herself, so I doubt that she was too worked up about that, but it was nice to see that that still made Razz quail. I have to wonder if he was worried because he knew that, at that point, there was no going back...at least not without some serious consequences. It's one thing to realize you'd made a mistake; it's another thing to pump-and-dump someone.
Of course, that's kind of a moot point now.
Insofar as what happened in Tabitha's office...damn. If we get into questions of fault, then the lion's share of that belongs with Bubbles. The reason that turned into such a wild encounter was entirely due to her almost certainly being nervous about Razz being near Tabitha, and her not being able to handle Tabitha's pheromones. Throw that in with her aggressive nature, and it was really a recipe for disaster from the get-go. I'm going to presume that she isn't pregnant now simply because this is the Silver Verse and there needs to be a certain amount of love present, but even that's uncertain. Likewise, while I don't think that Bubbles was planning on giving Tabitha a show to get them both evicted, she was clearly quite happy to push that particular angle, since it gets her boyfriend away from her "rival."
As for Razz, I can't find it in myself to blame him all that much. Despite his previous burst of confidence, he's still not forthright by nature; moreover, he's a young, horny stallion, and throw in Tabitha's pheromones and I'm not sure how much he can be held responsible for doing his girlfriend right in front of his almost-ex. Still, he at least had the decency to be ashamed of what happened and apologize for it. I have to wonder just how much he's going to be angry at Bubbles later on, presuming that he'll have the courage to display said anger.
And as for Tabitha, she's left horny and upset, which is quite probably the worst combination to be in. I'm impressed at her self-control to not leap over the desk and join the rutting pair, but Bubbles' mean-spirited snark was still quite correct...she's going to need some "alone time" after that, or at least a quick visit from Coco. Instead, she gets Spring, who was undoubtedly watching (which Tabitha should throw in her face, since this is likely the second time that Spring has played the voyeur), and is now doubtlessly hoping that Tabitha is going to lose control all over her, even if I doubt she'll say that.
The question now is, will Tabitha do so?
7510818 A better question, perhaps, is if it would be in character for her to do so, and if it would serve the story for that to happen.
Would it bring them closer together, or drive an angry wedge between them?
Tabitha can't quite find the urge to be properly -pissed- at the two that went at each other. She knows she's a source of exactly that kind of thing, even if Bubbles pisses her off so many different ways. She's doing her job, and not even doing it poorly. As guards go, everything she'd want. Too bad she's a bit of a prick.
That elf...
7510769 Typos seen out of the office, along with a pair of love-struck ponies.
That elf...
7510825
Would it be in-character for Tabitha to force herself, sexually, on Spring? No, but that's why Spring is trying to hard to provoke her. Ironically, it would serve the story because we'd then have an arc where Tabitha has to deal with that, and Spring can then move on past her current depiction of wanting, but never admitting, Tabitha to ravish her. (Except for when she wants it again, I mean.)
That's what makes that last question so interesting: it would bring Spring closer to Tabitha, while Tabitha would be upset and confused about it. I doubt she'd be at all happy with herself for doing that, but then that's confused by the point that she knew that it's what Spring wanted, and that she's appreciative for it. The entire thing would be a huge mess.
...which is another reason why Tabitha wouldn't want to do that in the first place. But Spring knows that too, and is trying to taunt her to a place where she loses her self-control.
7510825
Rutting the elf is just as feeding a stray.
Once done, there will be no peace.
We still dont kow the details of the spell Spring was working on, and even less about its mutated form when interupted.
Just hope Tabitha doesnt have dragon componants to that spell, as in nothing happens, the dial gets turned up another notch to make things happen.
And this dial doesnt stop at 11.
What did... why... Right in front of Tabitha?! What the hell does the pheromones DO?
... Is Razz more impressive than we thought holding himself back despite being the pony around Tabitha the most?
It seems that even not being sexual with Tabitha still leads to unusual sexy times.
I can't tell if Tabitha isn't too angry because she was too surprised, and like usual, just let things go (presumably working out how to handle it later, like with Spring) or if her conflicted feelings of being turned on by it made her stop? Or maybe the conflicted feelings just makes her inevitable conclusion different.
7510818
I agree it seems too fast, especially on Razz's part, because he just discovered it like... that day?
Might be nervous over compensation on his part. Boyfriends say they love their girlfriends, right? Best do that.
Maybe I'm comparing it to many other "sit on your feelings forever" style behaviors I associate with unconfident and timid males, but Razz has actually been rather aggressive. He immediately admits that he wanted to ask her out, acquires her tickets and "soft" asks her out (which, admittedly, is not THAT forthright) brings it up often... he's clearly unconfident about it, but he's hardly been passive or not forthright about it.
But he's not as forthright as he could be, and certainly timid when the time comes.
Can we send Spring to Everglow? With her locked in pony form perhaps, with nothing short of Wish being able to undo? Serious Spring is the villain of this story.
7510837
Indeed, whatever she really wants is still up for speculation.
I'd hate to see her drive a wedge between Samantha and Coco just as their relationship is deepening.
7510891 I don't think of him as forthright largely because he tends to wilt in the face of even the hint of opposition. His initial friendliness came on the heels of her making it very clear she didn't want to pursue a romance with him, as a way to try and side-step the rejection. Admittedly, that was uncharacteristic of him - and so was his gently rebuking Bubbles here - but I see such things as evidence that there is a more confident stallion lurking within there, waiting to get out.
But until that stallion does, we're instead stuck with the guy who lets himself get swept away to the point where he does his new girlfriend in front of his previous crush.
7510921
Tabitha, not Samantha.
7510955 Although technicaly it's not impossible for Samantha to show up here. Unlike most of the Silver Family, her current where abouts are entirely unknown.
7510991 Knock it off before you put ideas in David's head!
7510955
Whoops. Freudian slip on my part, perhaps.
7510991
7510993
The Samantha at this point in the Silververse isn't anyone that Tabitha would be happy to meet.
7510941
My typo aside, you don't like that Tabitha and Coco are growing closer?
This is not healthy, the toxicity that once was Razz's friendship with Bubbles and Trap is transferring to Tabitha. They need to leave, now.
Besides your right as author to prolong this, as a human (post?), as one healthier in mind and of better social skills than your last MC in this universe you've built, once she's passed the numbness and really looked at the situation.
A stallion pining for her left, understandable, he was clueless to Bubbles attempts of gaining his attention.
Said mare, hostile and abrasive, even when constantly made clear that things between Tabitha and Razz were, until recently, platonic.
Understand that, that moment of passion between herself, Razz and Cocoa was just that, a moment, nothing really special.
And just now, Bitch Mcgee came sauntering into her office, and forced Tabitha to watch her get fucked to flaunt a victory for a battle that was never there. Disrespectful to her boss, indecent as a person.
Kick them out.
Razz isn't really special besides his existence as a character to fill the cast as a tenant, this is an apartment, people come and go. And with the money Tabitha's racking in, she can hire anyone competent and capable as a live-in security guard, heck, several if need be. She's a "Caretaker" as the beast and Spring call her, use the fact the place is a haven of sorts to seek non-pony protectors.
But you're ignore this, you'll want this to keep going, you want her to fall down the same water slide of as your last, don't.
7511238 You're very angry.
You don't say what you're angry about very clearly, other than a character not being perfect. Near as I can tell, you want her to kick out Bubbles, and Razz too, for reasons.
Is that right?
7511314 I'm hard to anger but I can dissect situations, especially story points where logical sense a character would go.
Tabitha is not an idiot, and her willingness to face and even fight (Bubbles during the concert, the troll) means she's not meek or docile. She was already onto the pattern between Razz's inability to hold a job and his relationship with his friendship, and how it shaped his personality. She even went as far as to hire Bubbles, hoping that by improving one of the root causes, she'd have to less to worry about Razz.
Bubbles, on day one was already a problem, stole a kid's ticket in front of her, tried to attack her in retaliation after leaving the concert, constantly harrying her about leaving the imaginary relationship with Razz, even when hired in good faith to ease hostilities, continued anyway with disrespect to one's employer. And now this. On Earth cops would've already been involved, if not, firing and eviction (and then possibly cops) because no one likes getting a literal, actual "Fuck you" in front of themselves.
Razz, I get it, he's your first OC introduced into this series and one of the first tenants. Constantly under a state of on/off with employment, childhood friends that attribute to said state, and one from the eventual train cart of love interests you'd throw at Tabitha. It's even to the point that I'm imagining he's a mirror of your last MC in the same universe, another self-insert like your email sender, interacting with Tabitha because she started out somewhat better than David. His advances, though awkward and uncomfortable, are easy to for Tabitha to deflect. However, his pace compared to hers in whatever self conceived romance, is terribly skewed and overly optimistic, to the point that he has constantly overstepped the boundaries of friendliness and privacy. Barging into her room whenever, entering and leaving through her balcony, he's practically moved in and hasn't told Tabitha he's done so.
That night.
Let's be honest, the real trigger for it was Cocoa, she has a better relationship with Tabitha, her subdued character and her stated intent of pursuing a relationship but at Tabitha's pace, was far more appealing than Razz's constant pushing. It was understandable that coupling that with Cocoa's concern after a brush with death, Tabitha was willing to give Cocoa a chance despite the influence of hormones. Including Razz was her call, not as an acknowledgement, but tossing him a bone or in that case a blowjob. And in proper fashion, having someone constantly trying to woo you but then stop is jarring, even damaging to one's ego that, for a time, believing that they're worthless. And like now, sent Tabitha through the tumbles of being "dumped", even worse with that fuckfest just now. She can and will recover, and in proper logic based on her, will take things in stride. What won't be in character is that she allows two characters that have been emotional constants, to simply continue to remain when, they've collectively racked up points to strike at her dignity as a nice person for letting them in as a landlord and "friend".
David made sense, he was you, don't make Tabitha you.
Haha Spring never said the ponies would just be attracted to her due to scent!
Poor Tabitha, reduced to intoxicating matchmaker!
Still, Tabitha gets to enjoy her first blueballing...
Keep going! ;)
7511201
I was making out your comment to be a double entendre.
7511432
Gonna haveta point out something regarding pushiness and Coco and Razz.
Coco, after Tabitha was hurt, refused to leave, insisted on entering her room with Tabitha being hurt as an excuse, then initiated a sexual encounter and had to convince a reluctant Tabitha. At the time she hadn't said anything about being attracted to Tabitha until offering to bang.
That's pretty pushy and quite a quick pace, both of which are more than what Razz has done, because while he didn't give up in the macro, he allowed himself to be dissuaded in the micro, and was up front about his attraction. Razz might have been rudely intruding, but he was ready to bolt before he was invited in by both of them.
7511538 She moved onto that because of the pheromones, yes. But when looking at the track record of her times with Tabitha, she will meekly enter and retreat when broaching on the talks of relationships. Tabitha already knows her feelings but wasn't as aversed to it than Razz's advancements, and in face of the circumstance and Cocoa's assurances for her feelings that night, was accepted by Tabitha. In this case the pheromones gave her the push to really tell how she feels.
Much like the pent up frustrations and hostility of Bubbles unleashed in the office, her inhibitions removed and any semblance of niceties gone.
7511432 I'm trying to slice to the point. Are you saying she should stop chasing Razz?
That kinda already happened. He has a significant other. That fact was practically ground in our faces, or against Razz's crotch. If you're worried about his relationship 'corrupting'? or 'damaging'? her, it's basically over already.
Do you want her to angrily chase them out to express her anger? Has that been her character? Are we entirely forgetting the two were drugged during that episode, and Tabitha is very aware of that fact? It would be... low of her to use their actions against them, especially the one that certainly had no idea what she was walking into.
Ultimately, why are we yelling at a character to do something? If they acted like you, that wouldn't be fun to read, now would we?
7511684 It doesn't even matter what I say, you're going to do what you do, and that'll be it. As the reader I'll watch you pull the puppet strings for everyone to move in the direction as you please. Despite being a centaur, she still has a human brain and human thought. If you're gonna let her hold the idiot ball or go Gandhi and just roll with it, it's your call.
Tabby needs to get better ventilation in that office.
7511765 I can't argue that.
This is not quite related:

https://www.artstation.com/artist/jeehyung - but I thought some here may enjoy.
just going to say Razz and Bubbles will not last.
It feels like part of Bubbles WANTS to take advantage of the chance shes been given to get on the straight path. While at the same time she cant stop herself from resenting Tabitha and making her into the bad guy just because she caught Razz's interest first.
I really wanted Tabitha to just kick her out for what she did in the office, but then I realized she can't kick her out or she just plays right into being the bad guy for Bubbles. More interesting times ahead dealing with her it seems.
7512295 Kinda wanta bitchslap that egomaniac, self centered, ignorant, controlling floozy to the frozen north. Razz is blinded by the instinct of wanting a life-partner and can't see the negative aspects of his choices because of it. Hope the blinders drop soon. I sincerely wish Tabs a better time ahead but it's not looking good. (Bugger off Spring, you interfering harpie!)
7512507
my feeling exactly I was just trying to be a bit more diplomatic about saying it.
but yep that mare needs a beat down.
What?
I'd have dragged the copulating couple out of my office and into the hallway then closed and locked the door.
