Covid! · 7:43pm Nov 15th, 2022
So, those wondering why Silver Blue is taking so long, it's cause I caught the Covid 19. I got over it but I've still got recovering to do. (Smoking Cigars don't help.)
I'm mostly having breathing issues (I'm not THAT bad of a smoker, three a day.). Loss of taste and smell (Slowly coming back), and other issues.
Thanks for the follow!

Quoting a memorable simpsons character,
'Excelent!'
Hey, thanks for the follow! Hopefully you'll enjoy the ride I've got planned through the Great War, the first book is currently approaching completion so hopefully the wait shan't be too long.

If you can believe it, Twilight's World is my very first story - ever.
I have a lifetime of reading others' stories and I used that background to identify what I thought made a story great.
First - detail. Avoid simple narratives where you 'explain' to the reader what is happening. SHOW THEM by describing the setting and the activities occurring. Show, don't 'tell'.
If you show them, then they will fall right into the story and imagine that they are there.
Second - be real. Yes there is a huge 'suspension of disbelief' happening in all our MLP stories. But if you fit yourself into the mindset that this is physically, actually occurring. Then you can focus on how your characters will naturally respond.
We, and our characters, respond to events and situations that we find ourselves in.
Third - become your character. If want to 'respond' properly, then you need to 'be your character' and your own feelings and responses will guide what you write. Remember, give your character the freedom to write his own story, according to his/her own heart and motivations.
Fourth - a corollary to the third point. The story is not so much your story. It's your characters' story.
There you have it. A total amateur's guide to writing.

Your welcome. I'm working on a story myself, but I suck at writing.
